Welcome to the sixth High Turnip Prices thread on the ACCF WiFi Lobby Board.

The rules:
1. By posting your prices here, you promise not to charge an admission price to come to your town to sell turnips.
2. If you need help trying to figure out what's happening with the turnip prices in your town, just ask & one of the regular posters will help you answer your questions.
3. Please don't spam the thread with "Can I come over" messages. Instead send a PT or FCR to the person.
4. Posting daily low prices (under 110bpt) is only OK if you are helping with the analysis of pricing trends or asking about the trend in your town. Please don't post that your price is a low amount & you're looking for someone with better prices - that kind of post will be removed as spam.
It's going to take the community working together to figure out the pricing trends.
Since turnips look like they are going to work in the same manner as they do in ACWW, here's a portion of the guide that sunmarsh wrote for ACWW with the help of markwars & myself as well as data from Liquefy:

Simply put, every week in ACWW is different for you, and everyone else. Every town has different turnip prices, and their prices are just important as yours is. Each day is split into (uneven) halves. Tom Nook will have a different turnip price for each half-day. His AM price starts at midnight (12AM) and lasts through noon (12PM), when he changes to his PM price, which lasts up until closing. Unless you have a Nook n Go, you have only a few hours in the morning to sell at your AM price, and a much longer time to sell at your PM price. The chances that your highest weekly price will be in the AM is roughly 50%, so both prices are equally important to check. Just a note, if your schedule leaves you playing at night or in the afternoon, it may be helpful to keep your clock a few hours behind or ahead of the real life time so you can play during an earlier part of the day and perhaps catch the AM price or vice versa. This is called time phasing & as long as you stick to playing the game in the realtime manner as everyone else your turnips will be fine.

Time travelling can cause your turnips to spoil prematurely. If you start your game at an earlier time than your last game save, your turnips will spoil. For example, if you save your game at 1PM and then realize you forgot to check the AM price, change the time to 11AM & visit Nook, you will find that your turnips spoiled.

In addition, the "Turnip Table Glitch" that was so useful in both the GameCube & DS versions of the game is not included in the Wii version of the game. Putting your turnips on tables will not save them from spoiling at Sunday 6AM or if you were to travel back in time.

Travelling forward in time is usually OK, but if you cross the Sunday 6AM line, your turnips will spoil.

Knowing this, if you are going to time travel, use the Wii clock to do it. If you use the phone in your house, or tell Rover to change the time, you will cause the game clock & the Wii clock to be out of sync. This imbalance has been known to cause Joan to no longer stock red turnip seeds. Personally, I don't want to lose out on a product with a 1600% return on my investment. The seeds may cost 1,000 bells on Sunday, but if you show them lots of love by staying on top of watering them, Nook will pay you 16,000 bells on Day 7 (if you plant on Sunday, dig & sell to Nook on Saturday). If you miss a watering, the red turnip will wither & die the next day. Red Turnips will never be worth more than 16,000 bells no matter how long they are in the ground.

Turnip prices are very limited in their patterns however, so it is necessary that you be dedicated to data collection. You need as much information as possible when trying to predict results. These patterns in pricing run on a weekly basis, and there are little if no long-term patterns to look out for. However, it is still possible to make accurate weekly predictions. You first need to know the type of week that you’re having. This can be done by recording and analyzing the first few days of turnip pricing in a given week. There are three trends your week can follow.

1. Rollercoaster - the prices go up and down without any predictability of direction or amount. Prices can range anywhere from 30 bells to 151 bells. If your Monday AM price is higher than your Sunday price from Joan or it is higher than 100 bells, you are going to experience a rollercoaster week.

2. Steady Decline - The price falls 1 - 5 bells each time & never increases all week.

3. Spike - The price falls 1 - 5 bells each time until Wednesday or Thursday (can be as early as Tuesday or as late as Friday) when it starts to rise. Normally there will be 3 rises in the price before the highest price (the spike) occurs. Spikes can be one of three types:

3a. Low Spike - the price after the first rise either doesn't go up much or it goes down. The price usually doesn't go over 200, but it is possible for it to get to just under 300. Sell on the 3rd price after the first rise. If the price rise starts on Thursday AM, sell on Friday PM. It is possible for the spike to happen on the 3rd rise as well. It is possible if the first rise is on Thursday AM then your spike can be on Friday AM. Bottom Line: If your price is over 180 during a low spike week, that'll be the spike.

3b. Medium Spike - the price rises 3 times in a row. The high price will be somewhere between 300 & 500. Sell on the 2nd price after the rise starts. If the rise starts on Thursday AM, sell on Friday AM.

3c. High spike - the price rises 3 times in a row. The high price will be at least 500. Sell on the 2nd price after the rise starts. If the rise starts on Thursday AM, sell on Friday AM.
I've been asked by my mom for some easy ways to tell if she's experiencing a rollercoaster week. I thought I'd share them here with everyone as well.

Here are a few ways you can tell if you might be in a rollercoaster week:

If either of your Monday price is higher than 90 bells, you might be in a rollercoaster.
If your Monday PM price is higher than Monday AM, you might be in a rollercoaster.
If your price drops more than 6 bells between any price you get from Nook during the beginning of the week, you might be in a rollercoaster.
If your Monday AM price is lower than 70 bells, you might be in a rollercoaster.

As I think of them I'll add to the list.
One other great help for analysing your turnip trends is BlueHairMonkey's Turnip Wizard. The data that I've collected since Week 6 of ACWW as well as my ACCF turnip pricing data is included in his matrix for helping to analyse turnip trends.
There have been some reports of a couple of other styles of weeks including: a 5-price low spike & a steady increase. I want to get more research on these types of weeks before adding them into the  guide.
Just incase my last couple on comments get missed by the people who asked in the last thread, here's a repeat:
It means rollercoaster, swisstaku. I'd go ahead & sell now if you don't think you'll be able to visit anyone else's town to sell turnips this week.

I have heard of time travelling affecting prices, TheBigJC7777777, but not quite like this. I think my record in ACWW was 6 weeks in a row, but I'd have to check the old data to be sure.

I agree. The Monday PM price over 90 is a sign of a rollercoaster.

Hmm, my start was 59 for PM.  What could this mean for the rest of the week? Any thoughts?

remember when AC music was good?  Yeah, those were the days...

I'd say that was another sign of a rollercoaster week, spritetab.

Oh no, 3rd ste-
Oops, Tom Nook has a little spike in his aresenal this week. I applaud for his best efforts, but not huge enough to push me to sell there, though. In case that I didn't sell all of my 1500 batches of 100 turnips in anyone else with a price higher than 300 bells, I can still sell it in my town comfortably. Glad it wasn't my 3rd Steady Decline in a row. Even TTing by using Wii Clock didn't affected my prices.

Monday : 83 / 79
Tuesday : 74 / 69
Wednesday : 64 / 60
Thursday : 56 / 87
Friday : 107 / 154
Saturday : ? / ?

For those who are interested to sell turnips in my town, I won't be available until I sold all of my turnips at high price. I'll try to keep my price up from Saturday (or earlier) to Sunday.

Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie is awesome!!!

That's going to be another rollercoaster, Giga_T. If you aren't planning on visiting another town to sell turnips this week, I'd sell at that Tuesday AM price.

ah man, I think I DO have a rollercoaster.

Monday PM: 58
Tuesday PM: 108

what should I do???

remember when AC music was good?  Yeah, those were the days...

It really depends on your travel plans, spritetab. If you're not planning on visiting another town, I'd watch both the AM & PM prices. You'll probably see at least one price over 130. I'd sell on the first one I saw.

I was wondering is there any high turnip prices today. I would like to sell mine today if possible.
Generally speaking, you won't find anyone with high prices today as it's a little too early in the week. You're better off waiting until near the end of the week when I'm sure there will be at least one person with a spike.

FYI, I actually consider posts asking for people with high proices to be spam on this thread. It's best to give the people with high prices the room to post them.

UGH! this week is really annoying me.  Turnip wizard says to sell... but idk

Monday PM: 58
Tuesday PM: 108
Wednesday: 90, 118

remember when AC music was good?  Yeah, those were the days...

mine are at like 138 or something edit: they are at 164 o.o gosh.

In UK so add 4 hours to ACC
Here to help anyone =]

I'd hold out, spritetab. It's still early in the week so you could easily have a 130 or 140 price in your town. Of course if you're planning on visiting another town to sell, it sounds like ItzAdam in on his way to a spike. From the prices given, I'd say his spike was going to be tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it'll be AM or PM.

Im not sure.. mines gone down to 117 today

Then that 164 probably was your spike. Low spikes like that aren't unusual.

I'm at 176 Bells today. Not great, I know, but it's better than any other posts today, and it's Thursday after all. If you have a higher price please let me know; if not I'm gonna sell, and you're welcome to come if you want
My prices this week let me a bit confused again.

If that had happened on AC:WW I would know it's a small spike, but I never saw a small spike on AC:CF like that. It's almost a rise, a drop, and then two rises. Any advices?

The rises are pretty weak, Dorilys. I'd almost think there was still one more to go. If I'm right in thinking that, it won't be a very big rise. If I'm wrong about thinking that, then I could see the price dropping to something close to the 104. If I wasn't planning on visiting another town, I'd probably sell now & not worry about sweating it out in hopes of another 20 or so bells per turnip.

I was thinking about that, Dalek. If there's another rise, I also believe it won't be too much. Thanks again again

My turnip price is at 185
FCR if you are interested in selling in my town (though I won't be available to let you in until about 5:15 Central Time)

-1 hour from ACC time

If anyone has a turnip price higher than 34 (ideally higher than 96), and is willing to let me sell in their town, please let me know.

I've had a bad week...
mine were 150/148 today
