Please read and understand these guidelines before posting on the Grownup Gamers boards:

Why were the Grownup Gamers boards added to ACC?

The Grownup Gamers boards were set up simply to allow the older members of the community to find each other more easily, so they can share experiences and interact with each other.  Since ACC is primarily populated with younger members, it is sometimes hard to pick out other older members.  Therefore, we set up these boards to serve as the designated "hangout" for the older members of ACC.

Can the younger members post on the Grownup Gamers boards? How will ACC staff enforce who can and can't post on the Grownup Gamers boards?

The Grownup Gamers boards are not restricted to adults only.  However, all members should be aware that these boards are intended for and targeted to the older members of the site, and are   here to help give the older members a place to gather and interact.  Younger members should only post there if they feel they are comfortable interacting with a board populated primarily with adults, and feel they can interact with them on a mature level.

Are the ACC rules more lenient on the Grownup Gamers boards?  Can "adult" content be posted on these boards?

Absolutely not.  These boards were not set up so that the older members can get away with some of the "mature" topics and content that the other boards don't allow.  The Grownup Gamers boards will have the exact same rules enforced that apply to all other boards on ACC.

Can topics pertaining mostly to adults be posted on the Grownup Gamers boards?

Absolutely.  That's one of the reasons these boards were set up -- so that the older members can share experiences and discuss topics they have in common with other older members.  However, this only holds true as long as the topic follows the rules in place across all ACC boards.

Can topics pertaining mostly to young members be posted on the Grownup Gamers boards?

These boards are intended mainly for adult interaction.  While there are no set rules regarding what constitutes a topic suitable for these boards, the staff reserves the right to lock any threads they feel are unfitting for the Grownup Gamers boards.  An example of unfitting topics would be the popular Hit and Give games, and other similar games you may see on the other boards.

Why aren't there designated boards for younger members?

ACC is primarily populated with younger members, and therefore all other boards on ACC are intended for the younger members of the site.  While members of all ages are welcome to post on all boards, only members that are comfortable with crossing these age bounderies should post on these boards designated for the other ages.

Will this add to the risk of young members unknowingly interacting with adults?

Actually, this should help reduce the risk of younger members unknowingly interacting with adults.  If younger members prefer interacting with other members closer to their age, they should remain on the other boards, and avoid interaction on the Grownup Gamers boards.  This will hopefully help them feel more comfortable interacting with other members, since they know they are posting on forums designated primarily for thier age.
