They're sooooo adorable and cool looking! I just assumed that if Gyroids were brought back, we'd just get the old ones with updated graphics and maybe a few new ones. But no, it's a whole new system now! They're even customizable!
That said, I will sorta miss the big ones. I wish they came in big sizes too.
Also it seems the noises they make are way better and fit background music better. (Speaking of that, can't wait for the new songs! I'm ready for some Polka.)
Gonna be fun discovering and collecting all of them and making bands out of them!

yeah I was suspecting they'd add gyroids because it was in the datamine + we're getting brewster, but I kinda felt meh about it. they're a quirky series staple, but I rarely used them
but then I saw the new designs and ! I love them so much ! I love that they're tiny and fit on tables now so they're more of a "decoration" rather than a standalone piece of furniture. also at 10:18 you can see two sitting on wall shelves, so I guess wall shelves you can put things on might be a thing now?? unless those are gyroid specific, like how you can display shoes on the wall on a little shelf
I have no idea how or were I'm gonna use them, but I do fully intend to use them

I might be alone in this, but I always thought Gyroids were dumb and did nothing but sell them anytime I found them in the older games. They were nothing but an excuse to make more bells.
This means I don't even care that they're putting them back in the game, so this was one thing about the update I didn't care about. Again, probably alone in this, but oh well. To each their own.
I'm also one of the few that prefers to have realistic furniture and clothes in my house over the goofy, cartoony stuff the older games had. I always dress my character up on a suit-vest with a tie where possible. In City Folk and New Leaf, I made a PRO pattern for it. In New Horizons, I was able to buy one directly. And when I decorate my home, I want it to look like something I would actually want to live in in the real world.
So the challenge of this game, for me, besides filling in the Museum, was trying to find good clothing items and good furniture for my house in-line with the above paragraph. That's actually quite difficult sometimes.
I'm usually not a gyroid person either but I really love these designs! I might put some in my house as like, little knick knacks or something but what I really want to try is to make them be a little back-up choir for an outdoor concert hall or something. Depending on what sounds they make you also might be able to hide them in different areas as a way to add sound effects too

I also never much cared for gyroids in past games. I simply dug them up and sold them, but that’s it. So I was pretty neutral on the idea of them coming back. But then I saw them in the trailer and my tune was immediately changed. They’re so stinkin cute, I need every single one. I’m going to have to find a place on my island to display them all.

I would love an invitation to said gyroid zoo Myself, I am STOKED that gyroids are coming back because I absolutely loved them in New Leaf as a kid and the redesigns as well as how they can be put on other pieces of furniture is just amazing

And by "sons" I mean phones
I’d like to just say how thankful I am that these gyroids are customizable. This is a very small detail but very crucial. With all the different themes, I’m glad we can match them to our aesthetic. Nintendo didn’t let us down with this one.
