I'm currently making a list of all of the forum sites I've used / helped create over time as part of the apprenticeship I'm studying for, as evidence I need to provide includes my knowledge of forum software and content management systems.

I'm just wondering if ACC was completely developed from the ground-up or if there's anything behind it that wasn't custom software?

I couldn't find this information on any of the info pages that I looked at, so figured I'd ask here. I hope that is okay! Thank you.

I don't know the behind-the-scenes so I could be wrong but from what I know I think that it was built from the group-up. That's one of the reasons why they've had difficulty updating the site, it's running on nearly 20 year old code

That is true. It was built from the ground up and why we are having difficulties getting the site converted to ACC 2.0. Lots of work and some people have trouble working with code that old. Why we are always looking for help because we are also all volunteers.

Thank you for the information - it's been really helpful! My portfolio of evidence and research is nearly complete and I'll finally be submitting it soon, so it is great to know the make-up history behind this site too!
