So a few days ago I had my first contact with a scorpion while getting supplies later at night. I had no idea what was going to happen. I went after it with my trusty net just like any other bug when WHAM! It got me and next thing I knew I was waking up on the dock. I had no idea that was going to happen. It happened another two times before I finally caught my first scorpion. It seems silly but I was actually a little nervous going after this darn thing. I think I finally have it down and feel confident going up against any scorpion who crosses my path. Just a funny little story to maybe give someone a chuckle. Maybe I'm not the only one out there who's suffered a nasty sting from one of these buggers.

Not silly at all. I was absolutely terrified of tarantulas and scorpions when I was a kid, and I guess I still have some lingering childhood trauma because they still spook me a little. Coincidentally, a scorpion ambushed me ten minutes or so ago and startled me enough that my heart was pounding for several seconds.

They really are scary!
