I'm just curious among the more matured members of ACC, do you have any games that are considered bad but you just can't help but enjoy? While that label could be pretty subjective, I'm talking about the games that most players brush off for a variety of reasons, you know like poor controls, stories, gameplay, etc. I'm sure we all have games that are like that, but you still like them.

For me, one such game is Sonic R. The controls are all over the place, and even for it's time, I think the graphics are an eye-sore. But I still enjoy it as a racing game. For me, the soundtrack is what makes it. I could listen to those songs all day. OK, maybe not all day, but if Sega ever went bust in the game industry, I think they could go into music.

I'm even bold enough to say I enjoy Fire Emblem Fates. Not as much as the other entries, and I get where the hate comes from. Still, I enjoyed it enough.

So, what are some of your favorite "bad" games?

For me? Id say the my sims franchise as a whole ?? I dont really think the games are bad but I know they don't have a positive reputation but I find myself replaying those games for hours since im crazy into the customisation ;_;

^ I really liked the MySims games on the Wii and the DS back when they came out! It's been years since I played. I don't get why the games would have a negative reputation-- are people expecting the MySims games to be like the Sims?

I never tried the MySims games. Though on the topic, I kind of liked The Sims 2 on consoles. It's nowhere near as good as the actual PC game, but I think it did have a certain charm to it.

Not sure if you'd count it as a "bad" game, but another favorite of mine is Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. I mean, the controls aren't the best, but I think it's definitely underappreciated.

I'm going to have to agree with Sims. I really don't like playing games with combat, which seriously limits the games that I can play, and so one of the ones I play a lot is Sims. I played it a lot growing up, but we didn't have a computer that ran any games, so I played it on my brother's consoles, and when I finally got a computer of my own that I could actually play games on, Sims 4 rocked my world. I really only use it for customization, I'm a writer and it often helps to be able to picture characters and locations and whatnot, but I just love it!
