It really does blow. Pave doesn't even give you new furniture, so collecting more than one of each feather is a waste of time. Of course, Nintendo also butchered the Festivale music, just like they did the Pave "furniture".
These updates that are meant to get us excited always just leave me disappointed and bitter.
I’m shocked we aren’t getting DIYs of the furniture. To me, the Festivale furniture looks handmade so I’m very disappointed we can’t craft them ourselves, I really wanted a hoard of those green lamps. It’s strange since every other holiday (besides Toy Day I think) gives us furniture DIYs, so it just seems out of place. Oh well, I’ll be trading for them

Feel free to PM me about my listings!
I've been enjoying it but I am pretty annoyed that the furniture isn't craftable or orderable and the rainbow feathers don't stack so all this stuff is gonna be taking up a lot of space in my storage.
I really like most of the furniture because I'm a sucker for things with lights on them, and I like that the colour options match the seasons (pink=spring, green=summer, red=fall, blue=winter). I'm planning to swap the colours out seasonally in my town, so I guess I better make room for all those feathers

HAHAH was there no OP? Whatever the issue, it'll never be fixed cause ACC is dead.
But yeah I kinda like the stuff Pave gave us, but otherwise this was stupid and just a clone event of every single other "use the net and catch me stuff" activities. Imo it should have lasted at least 2-3 days not 1 day cause I barely had time to deal with it, but also there were only 4 feather colors and it was even easier to do than other events..
lol @ the title. But yeah, was disappointed with the "January" update only being festivale. And was not hyped on grinding til dawn on the 15th since I work a 9-5 in order to actually get the most out of the holiday, so I just skipped it. I never would have thought I would not care for a holiday/event this early but man, is NH getting old with it's grinding and collectibles. I want more charm and more personality in the whole game!

I Love Apple!!! She is the Best!!!!!!!!!
Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed it. The only part I thought was weird, as others mentioned, was that we didn't get DIY's for the furniture as well as the Rainbow Feathers not stacking.
It took me about 4 hours to get enough rainbow feathers to recolor each furniture piece to all the colors. (That's just something I like doing) but I liked that I was able to have the villagers be a part of the event with trading feathers.
I have reached a point where ALL of my animal crossing standards have been severely lowered and I've stopped expecting anything to be mind blowing and exciting. I think that helped me enjoy this event.

What AC:WW taught me: Always carry a clean cup with you~
Hahaha love the title and totally agree. Very disappointed as well that we didn't get DIYs. I would have preferred that and then collecting a few feathers to customize items. I could only play for a little over an hour last night, and so I completed one set in a certain color. I'm now time traveling back to try and collect more sets, including the rainbow one. It's just alot of work.
It wasn't THAT bad but it was pretty boring, I wish villagers would still play games with you to trade feathers instead of just being like "ah yes, have it!" Personally I really liked the music, it sounded like a remaster of New Leaf's festivale music so unless you didn't like NL's festivale music, I don't see why to complain about that.

What do I do
with all of these
lines?
I liked the event. Now that I've seen all of the Big Five events, I'm thankful that they've all been streamlined they way they have. In NL, my first Festivale took seven hours to complete and get everything !! That's way too much ...
And that float ... Man, it's a thing of beauty !!

In Ireland: The Land of the Rising Damp: AC Time: ACC +5
I actually really enjoyed it, albeit slightly obsessively. I was disappointed that we didn’t get DIYs, but I thought thanksgiving was over rather quickly whereas festivale took an entire day... obsessively
I started midday and literally did not stop playing until 3am. I’ve recently started a second island which hasn’t progressed enough to do festivale, so I took myself over to my 1st island and played the two simultaneously. It worked very well and my local connection where my two switches were literally next to each other only gave up the ghost once -.-
But I got every set twice for my first island and 5 sets for my second island so even though Pave was a tad tedious and I have 6 floats on my island which make the most amazingly horrific cacophony of sound when you start them altogether.
But it was also really long and difficult and if you could have gotten the DIYs and missed out the duplicate floats I would have liked it even more

...You might as well dance
I enjoyed it and was happy it didn't take forever like ACNL Festivale did. ACNL asked for 3 of the same color feather and it gave repeats before you completed on set. At the end of the night some players never completed the set and had to trade online.
Feathers were easy to collect and see. In 90 minutes 2nd island had enough feathers to complete a green, blue, purple and leftovers for my main island. To cut down on floats player 2 and 3 gave Pave the feathers and skipped the float. In the evening my main island just had fun dancing and trading feathers. At the end of the night I had 2 green, 2 blue, 1 purple and 1 rainbow set and 44 rainbow feathers. Skipped red because both island got that color in Nook Cranny.
It was nice to have something to do in the game. I'm just checking in for daily stuff now.
