I have only just started playing this game on the switch lite, I'm still getting used to the buttons, I have only just upgraded my house to a larger one room place, does anyone have any tips on how to earn bells quickly?,I do fish and dive to get things but it just seems so slow and it feels like I'll never get my house paid off 😔, I have just got 3 new neighbors so I'm progressing slowly, hopefully I will get to visit other towns and get some great ideas...... 😃

Have you tried planting a money tree? You can bury bells in the glowing holes to make a money tree. I'd suggest 30,000 because you'll always break even, but have a chance at tripling that amount. Hope that helps. I sent you a friend request.

I also suggest catching bugs and fish and selling fossils. The museum takes these items but if you can sell the extra. Also selling sea shells and exotic fruit!

Welcome to the game. I’m 73 and have played AC for quite a few years. Anyway, as someone else mentioned, the glowing holes help a lot!  You can take your chances with 30,000 bells to get a tree that will triple that amount. I’ve always buried 10,000 though, as that is guaranteed to net you 30,000 bells. I do this one thing every day, so there are 4 trees growing at different rates. If you create a second resident, you can find 2 holes per day, etc. The fossil hunting is not so fun once you’ve acquired all that you need for the museum, but they DO net a lot of bells. Other than that, you just have to be patient, this is a slow easygoing game. Just relax, and enjoy the upcoming surprises.

One other thing, now that it’s summer, you can catch high priced bugs and fish/sharks!

My biggest advice for anyone playing new horizons is to not worry too much about the town layout. Rather, you should focus on how each individual spots look. It's much more fun and less time consuming. You don't need to completely terraform your town for it to be beautiful if you decorate well enough
