Hi, so I am new to Animal Crossing and I am on Day 6. I've built all that I can (Fishing rods, Nets, etc.) and don't know what to do next! I am not sure if I need friends or just guidance, but please help.
Hello there! Welcome to the site and to the game! You'll want to keep talking to Tom Nook and see what he is asking you to work on. There will be various tasks to keep you busy getting your island setup before he turns you loose to do whatever you wish with the island.
With that being said, if you need any help getting more fruit or items, I'd be happy to help!

Thank you so much! I went and talked to him and he gave me a new recipe that gave me something to do and gather more resources. Thank you! I will definitely reach out! I am not sure on how to become friends in animal crossing, I'm assuming we would have to be friends on the switch to make that happen?

Hi guys I'm new to Animal Crossing and looking for some friends to play with and for some guidance. If you fancy a game please send me a message. Thanks 😊
Hey there! Welcome to the game and to the community! I’ll shoot you a PT message. I’d be happy to WiFi sometime and help you collect the non-native fruit, etc!

Welcome to the community and to the game! Hope nobody minds if I share some things I wish I knew when I started playing NH in October.
Donate 5 insects or fish to Tom to get the Museum as soon as you can so Blathers will give you the shovel DIY.
Be mindful of where you put buildings when you first start playing. It cost 50,000 bells to move buildings later and it won't let you move a building just a little bit (like one space over) unless it is completely out of the way. You will have the museum, nooks cranny, able sisters shop, 10 villagers and a tent, plus your house (moving your house is 30,000 bells.)
Get the wetsuit for 3,000 bells, sea creatures quickly rack up the bells, it didn't take me long to pay off the home improvements.
When the museum or the shop is closed for the upgrade, you can place fossils, sea creatures, insects and fish on the island so it will not take up room in your home storage.
Have fun!!
I came back to AC because of NH, the last one I played was City Folk, thankfully I remembered this site people here are so helpful. I am not able to send friend request because I only used the free one week online subscription, but if you need advice and I can help please send a PT. I am hoping later this year my husband's island will be in good shape and I will have the online membership so I can help others with items.
The wet suit can be purchased from Nook's Cranny. It can be found inside the cabinet in the store along with some other items and tools.
