I’ve watched how tos on YouTube and walkthroughs but still cannot for the life of me catch a fish, I press A to cast and then when it ‘nibbles’ I press A it comes back but empty handed? I’ve been told to long press A and no difference, what am I doing wrong
After you cast, close your eyes and just feel the difference in the controllers vibration. The nibbles are just a very light tap. When it bites there is a distinct plunk sound and a more pronounced tug. One you catch one you’ll be able to tell the difference.
Also when you feel the nibble that doesn't mean the fish is on the hook! You usually have to wait as it approaches a few times so don't press A as soon you feel a vibration as the fish typically isn't hooked yet.
As lindal3 said you can tell the difference by the controller vibration, but the intensity varies by the size of the fish, so bigger fish will have a bigger vibration! Cause of that I find it easier to just listen to the sound of the bobber, as when the fish nibbles the sound is pretty quiet but there's a distinct plonk that's louder when it finally bites and then you can press A to reel it in!
