I was just wondering if any of you are playing on a regular basis
Personally i have 3 towns in my home, and have gotten SO frustrated in the visiting characters Leif appears 3 times a week on average(are you kidding me?) So tired of him and his bushes Cj is useless as i could care less about his challenges now that i have caught all fish Flick can do just that as i could care less about my last 2 bugs Kicks!?!? REALLY! He only has garbage Saharah wont give me the cloud flooring i need
And then there is REDD UGH! Last time i saw him was three weeks ago and EVERYTHING was fake, have not seen him in three weeks! SERIOUSLY?! And i have not seen more then half the statues i need to complete my museum
Clearly no updates yet either so the game has gotten COMPLETLY boring This was NOT like the other games
Does anyone else feel the same or is it just me?
None of my friends are online anymore either so i feel this is a commen feeling
Let me know how you have felt lately

I haven’t been playing New Horizons as much as I used to. It’s a great game but I’ve just been taking a break from it. I find myself playing a few times a week, although without WiFi.

I recently started playing again consistently after taking a break for a while. I have decided to put my efforts into my island design. I started trading on Nookazon to get items I needed for designing my island the way I want it. With the terraforming and placing items outside I feel this animal crossing game does better than all the previous ones because it gives you more creative freedom. But everyone will play the game differently so I can understand where youre coming from.
I still play daily and haven't missed any days, but I definitely go through highs and lows. most weeks I just pop on and get my daily stuff done as fast as I can, but then every so often I'll find something I want to do and I end up playing for hours on end. the updates I feel are juuuust frequent enough to keep me excited for things to come, though they could stand to be a bit more frequent or a bit more substantial. I wish there was something like a constant drip feed of new regular furniture being added. something like a monthly or bi-weekly furniture set addition. that would definitely keep me much more engaged
there are only 6 days left in September and we know we're getting a halloween update soon. my guess is we'll hear something about it before the 1st

Angie from Maplerow, Ranae from Wayfield and Olive from Yorkwood
See there does seem to be some lack of interest for sure. I will keep olaying and maybe sign on to nookazon and get the pieces i need, as my goal is to always have the museum complete which has always been my goal from the start of the ac craze back on gamecube.
I only wish with the update they bring redd to my town more often lol

I still play every day but I've downsized to just playing my main character rather than all 8 (one town but wanted all the houses). It feels less like checking boxes off doing the daily money trees and such for all 8, even tho still do it for the one. Only time I play the other characters now is if Gullivarr or Celeste pop in. I think there's a lotta burnout around on the game.
I've still kept a daily play streak since the day I started (release date) but ever since I've caught all the fish and bugs I can for September, my debt is fully paid off, and my island has 5 stars, I really don't know what to do anymore..I'm trying to get my happy home academy score up from an A to an S, but I'm not very motivated to do that anymore. I've been spending less time playing the game since I already have all the things I need. It's surreal honestly, I was so used to grinding for bells for around 3 hours a day but now? Lucky if I'm even on ACNH for more than an hour.

3rd line stuff...uhh...
I still play daily as well, but I think that's mainly because I took it upon myself to completely redo my island. Prior to that decision, I was still playing daily, but it was more as if I was "checking in" with my island briefly by just browsing the shops quickly and talking to all of my villagers once (And praying each day for Redd to finally show up!). I think if I hadn't motivated myself to redo my island, I would have fallen off from playing daily by now. This is actually the longest I've gone with any Animal Crossing game in regards to playing every day since release.
I personally do not think the occassional updates provide enough incentive to check back and keep playing, because now they're more spaced out and pretty sparse in content. I especially feel this after seeing that the "Fall" update is mainly just a stretched out Halloween event and nothing else new (at least from what the trailer revealed). I would actually love an update that is similar to how the Sims does stuff packs. I would love an occasional update that adds more buyable and craftable furniture that isn't related to any seasonal event. I feel like there's still loads of potential for new furniture series especially. That would keep me very interested and make me want to play every day to discover new stuff.

Well i think i am gonna stop playing now, VERY DISAPPOINTED! Today is my in game birthday, and i got NOTHING! Just a shout out from issabelle WHAT! How the blazes do i get birthday items then?

There's definitely more birthday stuff! I haven't played on a birthday yet but from what I've heard from friends your villagers should throw you a party and give you a couple items and you'll also get some cupcakes and if you gift those to villagers you get even more items! KK Slider also stops by and will play you KK Birthday!
As far as I know though this only triggers if you've talked to the villagers/had the villager for longer than a day or two so if nothing triggered that might be why?

I'm beginning to play less and less. I'm salty with how Nintendo is treating New Horizons. The Halloween update perked my interest a bit though, but it doesn't resolve my main issue i'm having with this game.

Keeping the peace for all critters and Animal Crossing villagers!
^^I'm with you on that. I hate being negative about such a light, casual game from a series that means a lot to me, but as each update comes out, I feel less and less hopeful about the growth of the game into the future. I understand the global pandemic may have affected development in a pretty serious way, but now we're half a year into the game, and I don't really feel like much has been added that has grown the game meaningfully or expanded on any novel ideas unique to this game specifically.
I'm still waiting for a bunch of quality of life changes that I was totally positive would have been implemented by now. I'm thrilled from the Halloween update trailer that it seems they've learned from the Bunny Day disaster, but the game is a game that encourages daily playing, so I wish there was more focus on the day-to-day aspect of the game and not so much on these holiday events that only come around once a month or so.

I still play daily, it's mostly therapeutic for me now. It's such a beautiful game and lets me relax at least a little bit and escape everyday life. However, I wish they would have added lots of other things in sooner because it can get boring at times. I just want to go around and see new things from time to time instead of the same things. And where is Brewster? His coffee shop is such a relaxing and fun place to be, and just the idea of going around with, or getting coffee on animal crossing is great, and such a hit with so many fans.
Now that the initial excitement has died down, things are just quiet, but I'll still be playing patiently with my villagers and waiting for the new stuff coming in the next few years.

Probably playing Animal Crossing right now...
~Animal Crossing GameCube, New Leaf, and New Horizons~
I still play daily. I mainly do my daily activities (water flowers, check shops, hit rocks, dig up fossils, talk to neighbors, etc.).
I will admit though that this AC title feels lacking compared to others and feels like it is a much slower paced game. Hopefully it will get better as time goes on.
I’m also surprised this update is essentially only Halloween stuff instead of general fall activities. I was hoping for shop updates, new shops/NPCs, or quality of life updates. Given this update took much longer than the other updates, I expected more. And now the next update will come late November, with leaves us with just this new stuff for a while. Nothing exciting besides Halloween. I’ll give them the vegetables, but we have no idea if pumpkins will stay past October

Feel free to PM me about my listings!
I am still playing daily. I have two towns, on two switches. One thing that helps me is to re-start one of the towns from scratch. I just did that this week, again. Another thing that helps is to add a new human character, which I did in my other town last week.
I am dreading the update, since I don't like Hallowe'en. I know most will not agree. In my case I am old, all my friends and relatives are dying or dead, and the last thing I need in Animal Crossing is gravestones, skulls, skeletons, and so on. It gives me the creeps. So, when we get the update I may time travel to November 1st.
I still play daily. I haven't missed any days. Many days I just do daily maintenance and get off. Some days though I will fish or find other things to do in my town. I still enjoy the game although I make a point of playing it fairly briefly many days. Unfortunately it is to easy to get bored. However I do enjoy many aspects of the game.
One of the things that helps me is that I play with friends.
I do wish they would do some quality of life changes. I do miss a number of things they took out of the game. You have to remember though that all these games have been a bit different. It isn't going to be just like New Leaf.
Lastly I have to say, I find this game therapeutic. It is a very relaxing game. I am a patient and quiet person so this game is good for me.
I still love the game overall.

Adult Gamer who loves animal crossing <3 I am a fairly quiet person.
Please don't run in my town or steal my flowers.
I've only been playing a month or so and haven't played any AC games in the past so still not sure what to expect. I do get a bit tired of the daily chores sometimes.
I would ask what requests would you make that would bring you back? Are there things in the other AC games that they have not added here?
One frustration to me is not being able to talk back to my villagers. They give me a gift and I can't even say thank you. Is it not possible to program some stock answers when they ask a question? I feel rude just standing there, silly I know, it's just a game.
I do wish the villagers had more dialogue. It would be cool if we could say “thank you” to our villagers! You could always write them a letter to thank them! I believe villagers do understand keywords in letters. For example, I sent Bones a letter mentioning that I was looking for a kiddie dresser. He sent me one in the mail a few days later. That was in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing, but it was pretty amazing. It could’ve been a weird coincidence, but I like to convince myself otherwise.

Yes, I've been writing letters and getting responses from them, a little generic so not sure if they understand what I'm writing but I like to think they do.
I would also love to be able to dance. I watch Marshal dancing to Salsa in my square and just want to dance along. . I've gotten pretty good at twirling around but not quite the same. haha
Just as I was writing this, I looked down to see Rocket and Marshall dancing around with the notes over their heads while Stitches was singing. Gotta love it.
I always liked the morning aerobics! Although, I could never in my life wake up that early. That was one of my favorite parts in the original! I also liked finding the randomly placed balls to kick around with the villagers. The fact that they played along was great, and I wish they implemented sports balls in the newer games the same way they did in GameCube!

I miss playing Hide and Seek with our villagers too! At least my great niece likes to play, so there's that, but it's not quite the same.
I was playing so much that I was feeling a bit burned out, so I took some time away and read some books instead. I'm back to playing again, though. My sister and I have been having fun collecting the Halloween costumes, They are so cute! I had to purge my inventory again, too much stuff, and too many duplicates!
I feel like we need another expansion on our inventory storage, and more room for patterns! Speaking of which, I HATE the new color guides! Other than the transparency one, they should have kept the guide from New Leaf, it was so much better! The only other thing I like is being able to lighten or darken the shades.
Edit: I can't spell today!
Edit: I wish we could buy or get the DIY for the full manequins so we could display full outfits like in New Leaf!
