Just a quick question.  I have been set at 9 villagers since Lucy moved in late April.  Recently I thought I'd finally grab the 10th plot so I can be fully villager upgraded.  I have checked 3 days this week and Tom Nook will not sell me the plot.  I am going to check my inventory today incase I somehow put in in storage (not that I know if you can or not).  But other than that, I'm unsure why he would not be selling me the plot.  Once I thought maybe cause my bells on hand was under 10K, so I couldn't pay for it.  Another time I thought maybe cause my gates were open.  I am just perplexed and was wondering if anyone else was having this issue.  I saw on a search that there was a thread on the Americas Nintendo support site that was 5 pages long and went back to early April with people having this issue.  Maybe tomorrow if I have more time I'll read thru it.  Thanks if anyone can help out or has suggestions.

I do recall an issue where house plots glitched out, but as far as I know it was when you attempted to trade villagers from another person's island (and it has since been patched). Is your game updated?

When did you start your town? Back in March on game release?

I have been playing since launch day.  I think I am on version 1.2.c or something like that.  I'll see if there is an update today when I am on.  I went out to Game FAQ today and didn't see any posts there in the first 5 pages.  

I looked in my inventory and there was no plot there.   Another thing I thought was maybe beaus I haven't paid off my current (and final) home loan.  But that would be odd for them to not allow you to bring in villagers just because of the home loan.

Hmm that's odd. Sounds like you have the recent update: 1.2.1.c and I can guarantee that the home loan has nothing to do with it.

Is your game "storyline" caught up? I'm not sure if it would affect it, but curious what state your Nook's Cranny is. Or try asking Tom Nook about what to do next if you haven't.

I'm just wondering if not having all 10 plots down before one of the recent updates caused it. Maybe like a softlock.

It is odd.  On the NA Nintendo Support forum there are posts in April and May of others having similar issues.  Which is a strange coincidence or there is something we all share in getting stuck like this.  I'm going to try searching my plateaus today and see maybe I dropped it without setting it up, if I have already bought it.    Cause I had planned on putting the final plot on one of the 3rd levels since none of them have houses yet.  But I was also waiting to add a ramp leading up to whichever one I put it on, cause I want the villager to have logical access to the 2nd level and not be trapped.
