I was just doing some fishing in the river and I fished up a ton of trash. Way more than usual. I was wondering if there’s anything that may cause an increase in fishing up garbage?

There are now DIYs for the trash which explains the increase. You should get a DIY for those if you've recovered enough items. I used the tires with the Tire Toy DIY and put them around the playground I set up after I customized them in different colors. It looks cute!

Yeah, I got all those shortly after the game released. I was just confused by the sudden increase in trash spawning because I don’t usually get so much. I caught about 30 things and 8 of them were pieces of trash

Yeah, a couple of weeks ago I was getting all kinds of tires, a few boots, and a couple of cans. I was happy about the tires since I wanted more of them, but I didn't really need the others except to put out to try and catch that pesky fly which disappears almost as soon as I see one!

They added the trash DIYs later? I had the trash bags, wall & floor combo, and the little recycled drum thing for a little while now.
It felt like I didn't see trash for weeks though, over a month even then I also started seeing more trash haha.

Was it raining when you caught ALOT of trash items?

I seem to get more trash items when it's raining. I used the tires for the tire stack and have them in my storage, waiting for them to be the SPECIAL item for the day. Used some of the tires, cans and boots to make trash bags and sat them by each of the villagers houses. This way when that item also is listed as the SPECIAL item for the day, I'll be ready.

Another thing I'm currently working on is making the decoy ducks and customizing them and placing them also by the villagers houses. These I'm using mainly for decoration, but may at some point gift them to each of the current villagers, before I move them out after getting their picture. I figure we'll be playing this game for at least the next 3 years, and I want to cycle out villagers and move in other new favorites. In preparation for this I have been using some of the Amiibo cards that I have collected and inviting at least 3-4 to my campsite to see if they would make a good fit for NanaVille. Sometimes I get a new DIY in the end and I'll be ready when I have the chance to see them again. I'm keeping a record of who may be possible residents. I'll be one day closer to getting them moved in, I take the conversation as far as telling them to consider moving in sometime. They of course respond back with the usual reply.... waiting for me to invite them back.
