Welcome to the AC:NH Offering board! Please review the following rules before posting on this board. We have also provided some thread examples and guidelines that we encourage you to follow to ensure you get the most out of this board.

Rules

1) The purpose of this board is to offer items or villagers for sale or trade or to offer up a specific event in your town for visitors. While it is expected that you may be looking for something in return, the sole purpose of your thread is to offer something (rather than looking). Some examples of threads that are acceptable for this board are offering a villager who may be moving, selling/trading items, auctions, offering to open your town for villagers that are crafting, or offering to open up your town for turnip sellers. At times there may be instances of overlap between the NH Offering board and the NH Looking For board. For example, if a member is offering a large sum of items while also looking for items in exchange it could possibly live on both boards. Keep in mind that if the primary goal of your thread is to offer something to others, it should be posted on this board (Offering board).

2) Do not post long term offerings on this board. These will be considered as services. If you are looking to run a service, please use the Shops and Services Board.

3) If you are not planning on taking part in the exchange, do not post in the thread. If so this may be considered hijacking other people's threads and will be removed as spamming. You are expected to be reasonable and serious in your posts. Do not post and agree to a transaction and then retract your offer. Do not purposefully post high bids to kill an auction and then retract your bid either before or after bidding has closed. Doing any of these is considered trolling and will not be tolerated.

4) Offerings must be run exclusively on ACC. Do not cross-run your offering between ACC and other websites (eg. Reddit, Belltree, Nookazon, etc.).

5) Whether you are posting a thread, or responding to a thread on this board, you may not exchange, request, trade, offer, or sell items that can only be obtained via hacking or modifying the game. Please check Rule 2.9 Discussing or Exchanging Duplicated/Hacked/Modified Items for more information.

6) Please keep all activity on one thread until a transaction is final. Do not have multiple public threads for your offering. Do not accept requests via private thread. Once an agreement is made on your public thread, you may then use PTs to set up your online session.

7) Auctions must have a stated ending date and time and use "ACC time", the time found a top every ACC page, as the time reference. The ending date and time may not be extended once the auction begins.

8) All auction bids must be made exclusively in either bells or Nook Miles tickets. You may not accept both bell and Nook Miles bids; bids must be one or the other. If you wish to receive items/villagers in exchange for your items/villager, please create a trade thread instead of an auction thread.

9) Please be reasonable with your pricing and requests. If no one is responding to your offering, consider lowing your price or trade request. For auctions, perhaps the opening bid and or buy-out price is set too high. In such cases, locking your offering thread and starting fresh with adjusted prices is the way to go.

If there are questions regarding these rules, please contact a Moderator via PT.

Suggested Trade Thread Format

Your thread topic line (i.e. title) should include the item, villager, DIY Recipe, etc. that you are offering. Optionally you may include something about items you'd like in return, but we suggest you save that information for your opening post (see below).

Example: Golden Roses for Sale

Your first post should include information regarding the item(s) or villager you are offering. You may also mention what you would like in return. This can be anything from bells, Nook Mile tickets, DIY Recipes, items, etc.

Once you've found someone to trade with you may either share friend codes using the Friend Code Request system or share Dodo Codes. Keep in mind that Dodo Codes may only be shared in Private Threads (PTs) and not on public boards.

Here is an example of how you could post information for your trade thread:

Offering: Up to 25 golden roses.
Price: 10,000 a piece or 3 DIY recipes a piece.

Suggested Event Thread Format

Your thread topic line (i.e. title) should include the event or specific transaction that you are offering. Optionally you may include something about what you'd like in return, but we suggest you save that information for your opening post (see below).

Example: Lopez Crafting a Trophy Case - DIY

Your first post should include information regarding the event in your town that you are offering. You may also mention what you would like in return. This can be anything from bells, Nook Mile tickets, DIY Recipes, items, etc.

Once you've found someone to exchange with you may either share friend codes using the Friend Code Request system or share Dodo Codes. Keep in mind that Dodo Codes may only be shared in Private Threads (PTs) and not on public boards.

Here is an example of how you could post information for your event thread:

Offering: Lopez is currently crafting a Trophy Case DIY recipe in my town.
Entry Fee: 5 Nook Miles Tickets

Suggested Auction Thread Format

Your thread topic line (i.e. title) should include 'auction' and clearly indicate what is being auctioned.

Example: Auction - Creepy Set with W/F

Your first post should include the opening bid, minimum bid increment and the start-end information for the auction.  You may also include an optional "buy-out price" if so desired.  All terms are defined as follows:

Opening Bid is the starting bid for the auction.  This is also the absolute minimum amount of bells the seller is willing to accept for his/her item(s)/villager.  Sellers should take care in setting this price as they will be required to sell their item(s)/villager if the opening bid is met.

Minimum Increment is the minimum amount the next bidder must raise his/her bid.  The minimum increment must be in multiples of 100. 15,001 is not an acceptable bid.

Time is the the start-end date and time of the auction.  If you set the end time as 11:00pm, it technically ends at 10:59:59pm. If a bid has a time stamp of 11:00pm, that bid does not count.

Buy-Out Price is the price that, if offered by a bidder, will immediately end the auction.  It is a way for a bidder to secure the goods of the auction and for the seller to possibly get a price well-above the opening bid price. Listing of a buy-out price is OPTIONAL. Not every auction is required to have a "buy-out" price - it is up to the seller if he/she wants to include this option.

Here is an example of how you could post information for your auction:

Opening Bid: 15,000 bells
Minimum Increment: 500 bells
Buy-Out Price: 1,000,000 bells (Optional)
Time: Oct 30, 8:00pm - 11:00pm

Once you've found someone to exchange with you may either share friend codes using the Friend Code Request system or share Dodo Codes. Keep in mind that Dodo Codes may only be shared in Private Threads (PTs) and not on public boards.
