so, i've recently been getting obsessed with watching villager hunting videos on youtube where people save up/buy NMT and then go to mystery islands to hunt for their dreamies when they get a free plot.

this got me thinking - has anyone here got a cool villager hunting success story?
did you find your dreamie on your hunt? did you find someone cool with a limited number of NMT?

idk - as NMT is becoming this huge trading currency and Raymond etc. go for hundreds of tickets, i think it would be nice to hear if anyone used them to island hop and find a new resident they love.

I'll go first - i had Monty move out to gift to someone else so i was free with an empty plot, and though i'd try island hopping for the first time since i started the game and filled my 10 plots. after about 20 or so tickets, i found Diana and thought i would invite her even though she wasn't a dreamie i had in mind. but actually, i ended up loving her! her room is so cute and i love the mysterious dress she wears, and she's always watering and learning about the island plants lol

Over the last couple of days, I've gone on 49 "villager hunting" trips in the hopes of finding Ankha or Tangy. No luck, unfortunately. Today I found Tia, and I know she's a popular animal for some reason, so I decided to let her move in. I don't love her or anything, but she's cute, and I was honestly tired of grinding out NMTs.

I got very, VERY lucky and found Mitzi (my favorite villager) on the second NMT island I ever went to. I have a villager moving out soon so I'd love to find Raymond or Ankha, but I'm trying to keep an open mind. I don't want to buy villagers because that feels weird to me.

I'm not sure I have a dreamie really. But Ankha is so popular, and I've never had her. I'd probably swap someone out for her. Zucker use to be but then I got lucky and got his Amiibo card in a pack ages ago so I Amiibo'd him in.

I got Soleil via NMT, she seemed to be a dreamie for a lot of people and I picked her up.

I found Judy! I really wasn't looking for her.. but after seeing her and talking with her I decided I really needed a Snooty on my island. I only had to grind 10 mystery islands to find her as well. Much cheaper than trading for her.

Y'know how many folks are freaking out over Audie? Well, get this: I saw her for the first time during my first few days of playing. She showed up on about my third visit to an island. I was completely clueless of her popularity at the time. All I knew that she was a Peppy and she was gorgeous, I just HAD to have her! Coincidentally, it was her addition that triggered the set up of the first 3 Villager plots...


After a Villager moved out, I decided to take a trip to a mystery island, in hopes of finding my beloved favorite, Mitzi. Expecting to be a while, I was fully prepared for disappointment...On my first ticket spent, the moment I land and walk further, I see a green-haired figure in the distance...It was Bree!

She is my #1 favorite Snooty, I picked her up without a second thought. Of course it meant delaying my search for Mitzi, but it was a chance I just couldn't pass up, I was too happy to see that Mouse to even worry about it!

I’ve gone hunting for Lobo twice now, both instances used up a bunch of tickets. The first time I found Marina after a lot of trips. I took her because I was tired of the tours and I’ve never had an octopus before so that’s cool. Second hunting instance I was found Audie after like 20 trips and took her because wolf.

Ugh wish me luck everyone, today will be my day to try and find someone new interesting after Wendy moved out.

I have gone hunting 2 days ago, I was in search of just a new villager. I really really want Papi and someday I will get him. But I did get Flurry! Who I have never had before, took me 10 NMT to try and get a cute villager lol. But my top 2 dreamies are: Papi and Goldie. I am open to new villagers, I do not think I want a full town of Dreamies. Just my thoughts
