So I let my sweet June move out, immediately regretted it, and went to adopt her on Nookazon. I have June back now, but the person I adopted her from totally messed her up. She wears a different shirt than her original clothing no matter how many times I give her the original shirt or report her clothes to Isabelle and her furniture is COMPLETELY switched out for other, random junk. I’m pretty annoyed, especially since I paid 10 NMT for her. So my question is: If I keep giving June her original furniture, will she replace the other stuff with what I give her? Can I give her everything in 1 day, or will she only replace 1 item each day? And if I keep giving her the original shirt she comes wearing, will it eventually replace the other shirt she got from her old home?

Or if I want my June back to normal... an I better off letting her move out and finding another one?

Maybe it's a bug if the report option isn't working. I wouldn't try to give her everything in one day. Build a decent friendship first then start giving stuff one day at a time.

I’ll probably be slowly giving her furniture one day at a time and making sure she’s actually displaying them

As far as I know the report option gets any custom designs out of the villagers "closet" of outfits they wear. If the ugly shirt isn't a custom design it won't get wiped by the reset since that exists to get rid of any clothing/catchphrases that could be offensive. You might be able to get her to stop wearing the shirt as often, but from what I've heard villagers keep clothing/furniture for a long time in this game and can rotate through a lot of different shirts. I'm also not sure if giving her the same shirt counts as a new piece of clothing or an old one....

As for the furniture hopefully you can switch it back, but I also don't know if that's permanent. I'm fairly certain I've seen villagers rotate out pieces of furniture and bring them back, but not sure if that has to do with them changing their indoor furniture to include crafting tables or not.

TL;DR: If June's clothing/furniture matters to you a lot you might be better off switching her out for a "fresh" version as if the clothes and furniture are not custom designs, they'll probably stick around for a fairly long time. You might get better results giving her a bunch of different shirts you like on her and that'll make the ugly one pop up less often! As for the furniture just keep giving her stuff one day at a time and hope for the best

In a villager group I'm in, I've seen several reports that complaining to Isabelle about clothes doesn't actually remove custom designs permanently.  The villager will change out of it for that day and it can pop back up again later anyways.

Weird! What’s the point of the complaint option if it doesn’t actually do anything?

PyreKiran, stephxduloc - That's gotta be a bug! The entire point of that feature is to permanently scrub inappropriate user-generated content, after all. Hopefully it'll be fixed before too long.
