This morning I was planting cedar saplings, saw where my gold spot was, made a mental note to come back later (needed to sort out my other bell trees so I could replace the one that had just sprouted bells with the sapling). I’ve come back this afternoon and it’s gone...

Always before if I’ve saved and come back my gold spot has still been in the same place. And now I don’t have a gold spot anywhere on my island. I didn’t plant it and relocate it and forget, as it’s not ticked off on my to do list and I have no saplings other than cedar saplings

Anyone else have this?

i noticed one day my gold spot had gone away and then came back in the same day and assume it was because I had visitors on my island

I also felt like I had this happen. But I can’t recall what I did before to possible trigger the disappearance, I could be mistaken but I generally don’t even dig up the gold spot unless I plan on dropping 10k in, so I can’t explain it vanishing.

I encountered this once, too, but I don't know why it happened. I just assumed that it was a glitch and had to go without planting a money-tree that day.
