I unfortunately didn't get a chance to log into AC on 5/1 and now I cannot get a May Day Ticket. I assumed that because the event lasted for a week, the ticket would be there for a week, too. Has anyone managed to get the ticket after 5/1?

Just to be sure, is your Nintendo Account linked to the account that you use on your Switch, and is your console's time synced via the internet? That's usually required to trigger seasonal events like this, rather than logging in on a specific day.

I TT'ed a day ahead and it didn't unlock for me until May 1 in real time (So my game was on May 2nd when it activated)

Thank you, PennyGwin! I double checked and while I was connected to the internet, I was not linked to my Nintendo account! I only bought the switch for this game and didn't realize! It worked! I got my May Day Ticket!!

Incidentally, you can tell if your account is linked before an event starts by looking for an "a" next to the version-number in the top-right of the title-screen before you load your game. (This disappears sometimes even if your account is linked, and I just realised that this probably happens outside of event periods.)
