Overall I am very much enjoying New Horizons.  One of the odd things I am noticing is the lack of mail from Mom & Dad at home.  I always enjoy Mom talking about what is going on at home or seeing my home thru the Dream Suite.  Off hand I can't say if I have received any, tho I would have to say we have received a few now that we are 6 weeks in.  Just not in the frequency from Population Growing to New Leaf.

I also miss the "mom and dad" mail, though I received very few letters from "dad".
Did he use to send many letters in ACNL? that's where I mostly played (before ACNH) but I do not remember seeing many letters from him in there either... makes me wonder if they (dad's letters) still exist in ACNH

^in NL dad only sent you one letter a year on father's day. the other games it was either the same or dad never mailed you, I don't quite remember

and I don't know how often mom sent letters before, but I know I've gotten one every month so far, making 4 total because I also had a birthday. I love that they come with little gifts that are clearly handmade. maybe she doesn't write as often because she's working on making presents to send us

I haven't opened it yet cause I have been busy, but noticed Mom sent a knapsack to folks this week.  I saw I had a letter from her yesterday, but was busy getting my KK Slider songs in CF & PG with all four characters and didn't get a chance to open mine.  

They have done a lot of nice little things with this version.  Deidre has been lovely for me.  I've see her sniffing my BBQ set outside and her with her arms out running around like a plane.  But I miss some of the things like the Mom mails & message board being used more often.
