I found one article on siliconera.com that states that amiibo cards might restock in June.
Does anybody know anything about this?
They don't list any *ENGLISH SOURCES. I've never heard of this website before and honestly I've been seeing a lot of bad journalism surrounding New Horizons.
I've been collecting cards since they came out and I'm a little heartbroken that I can't work on my collection right now without draining the blood out of my real-life bank account. It would be great to find out any official news about packs restocking.
The google translation of the GameWatch article reads as such:
"The "Animal Crossing amiibo Card" was resold at the same time as the "Atsume Animal Crossing" was released, but it was sold out immediately, and Nintendo Store information indicated that it would be resold in early June. All online shops such as Amazon are sold out and are sold at resale price with premium.
As of April 4, a pack of 5 randomly packed 3 cards will start at 3,980 yen (shipping charge not included). You can see that the price is 5 packs of 300 yen, and it is traded at a price more than double that of 1,500 yen."
on April 22 at 4:52 ACC time...
36.95 = 3980 yen 2.78 = 300 yen 13.92 = 1500 yen

i have some bought when no one wanted them. I'm sure that the prices will drop in a few months since most people will only use a card 3 times and just sell it one they have their villiger

Currently wanted for New horrizons: (let's trade)
(stuff comming soon)
The cards are being reprinted in Japan, and South Korea is also getting them for the first time, but I haven't heard any word on an English reprint yet.
Huh. Time for me to start eBay listing my 100 or so dupes. The appeal of being able to sell my cards that were sitting in storage to pay in full for my Switch, AC:NH, and online membership is too wild to pass up. It's too bad we can't sell on here because I'd rather offer them at a lower price if I knew they were going to 'good' homes - AKA not for resale.
*content removed* Hopefully we get an english rerelease of the cards, though! If they're reprinting for other countries I don't see why NA wouldn't get them, too (I could see covid being a delay factor if it sticks around that long, though). I'd much rather have the real ones over the few I plan on DYI-ing lol.

I'm afraid of really looking into any DIY stuff because I would feel like they're disgracing my legitimate collection of other cards. Plus, Nintendo seems to be very harsh about that kind of thing? I don't mind buying the cards legitimately and I'm happy to support Nintendo, I just hope it comes soon. But realistically there's no reason to be so impatient and it doesn't matter a whole lot.
forgottenpixel; I have a Marshal card I considered selling because I understand it would be worth quite a lot and I don't like him all that much... but yeah, I don't like the idea of it going to a home that isn't "good" so I probably won't do it.

Yeah. It's hard because money is tight right now thanks to a certain virus that trumps me wanting them to only go to people who will get use out of them. There's also the fact that they've been sitting and collecting dust because by the time the last series came out the trading I had been doing pretty much dried up unfortunately. All the sets I have are complete but I am still missing I think around 5 cards from the last series. And good luck getting those right now. lol My lazy side is still looking at listing/selling all these out before me as a daunting task.
I already thought buying bells for cash was lazy and lame but this takes it to a whole new level. What cracks me up is there's no way Nintendo would even sell this for more than .99C Oy! I am both amused and shaking my head is disapproval at the same time.
I just found an article by TheGamer which seems a little more in-depth and states there will be a Japanese restock in June 2020.
My birthday is in June so... it would be really awesome to buy myself some packs to celebrate... I guess I can try to get some from overseas?
It seems like most folks here agree it's happening but what do you think about restocks elsewhere in the world!?? Do you think it might be a little based on how well it does in Japan???

I had a good amount of cards so might not have cared until I realized I don't have Lucky. I need them to release some cards to all of us...including old ones, including all of them.
