Sometimes when I plant trees or bamboo, the next day they will still be a sprout even though they aren't near anything else. Are there "dead" spots in NH like in previous games? Can only a certain number of trees grow each day?

Any help or insight would be much appreciated

It may have something to do with spacing (have at least two spaces around the sprout for it to grow). If youre trying to arrange them close together, just grow them somewhere else then dig them up when fully grown and place them where you want them
