I’ve not had any visitors over as yet but would like to swap fruit/flowers etc.

Is there any way to stop visitors helping themselves to hybrids or anything I may have on the ground?

You could enclose a fence surrounding your precious flower beds. Visitors can't pick up your fences!

I think if you are selective about who you invite over (look at their WiFi rating), then you should be ok. I invite a lot of people over and have never had any problems
