The title kinda says it all but I'll explain a bit more about it. So anyone's that's seen any of my posts on here it is usually involving my favorite villager,Bones. He's been my favorite villager since I met him in Wild World and even more so as he's based basically off of the same breed as my dog was! As soon as I got New Horizons, my first goal... Well one of my first goals was to make sure he moved in. Since then I decided that since there is no official plushie for him that I'd make my own! I crocheted him without a pattern (which basically means that I used pictures of Bones and my basic crochet stitches to make him from scratch) and since I've never loved his caveman tank and couldn't find any fabric to match his new shirt I made one up with some old fabric I had! Here's the finished piece!. I used super soft yarn and I love how he turned out!

Has anyone else made any Animal Crossing fan art?? would love to see it if you are willing to share!

Oh wow, what amazing work! Is that chenille yarn, by any chance? He looks nice and fuzzy! The plastic safety-nose is a great finishing touch, too.

His shirt is fantastic, as well - is it removeable so that you can give him other outfits in the future, or are the buttons just for show?

Thanks PennyGwin!! It's kind of a cross between a chenille yarn and a faux fur yarn, it's super soft but it holds up really well! Lol I just happened to other safety nose hanging around from a previous project and figured it was the only one big enough. His shirt is not removable unfortunately. I tried to make it with a backing but found that the back was very hard to line up with the arms because I had already seen him together. I wish I had done the shirt as a removable option but was getting too frustrated with it after a few attempts. I just had to put the buttons on because they added something cute to his shirt!

You're welcome!

Thanks for the info on the yarn. I crochet and sew on occasion, and I really do love the chenille and faux-fur yarns, though some of the longer-pile types are a bit of a nightmare to work with!

Incidentally, I would've done the same with the shirt! And the buttons do look perfect.

I really am very impressed - and inspired, too, though I don't currently have the time or materials to make the project that I've currently got in mind. Thanks for that, lockdown.

Omg! Too cool! Yea it's Premier Parfait yarn. I literally use it for every project! Yes I was running low on the fabric and was just ready to be done. Thank you!  Awww! What villager were you going to make? I think I might make Cookie next!

"Yea it's Premier Parfait yarn. I literally use it for every project!"
I know the stuff!

"What villager were you going to make?"
Becky, who has quickly become my all-time favourite villager. I would rather sew this one, though, but even if I wanted to crochet her I don't have the right colours in my yarn stash. I already have a pattern figured out in my head, so it can wait for as long as it needs to.

"I think I might make Cookie next!"
You'll post pictures of Cookie too, right?

Thanks HatakeSage! Really?? Have you tried using YouTube videos? That's how I learned! I have several saved if you want me to pt you with the links! It takes some getting used to but it gets very easy after you learn the basics.

PennyQwin Yea it's the best! Awww! Becky would be a cute plushed! Yea she might be easier done if you sew it rather than crochet as she has a few ruffles and finer details. Bones is VERY basic so he was a little easier than a few others. Of course! I plan on doing a few more villagers at some point and will for sure post them when they are done!

Oh wow, that looks amazing! A lot of people I know have been picking up crocheting lately, with everybody being stuck at home and all. I think this might've just convinced me to try it out, too!

I love that! I recently looked for a plush of my favorite villager Spinkle. There's no official ones but I think I'll look on Etsy.

Thanks SizzTuna! I've been crocheting for a few years now but I recently decided that I had to make Bones! I find crocheting very relaxing and combine that with Animal Crossing I had a lot of fun!

Thanks NewRetroDave! Same! That's why I ended up making Bones myself. Plus it allowed me to make a few adjustments and to use some softer material than a lot of mass produced plushies. Yeah is a good idea! At the very least there are a lot of people who you can commission to make her. Good luck in your search!
