Has anyone else found that it takes much longer for villagers to think about moving out? I’ve had 10 villagers for a very long time and none of them are preparing to leave- I talk to them everyday because I thought it made them more likely to ping, but some people say ignoring them makes them leave quicker- is there an actual way to get villagers to leave?

It seems to me to be as semi-random as ever! I've only had one villager move out, and that was Elise. She lived on my island for an entire day-and-a-half, then suddenly got a thought-bubble above her head and told me that she was moving. I treated her the same as everybody else (bar Diva, who I've been ignoring for weeks because I'm not a fan of her), and probably had no time to influence my friendship-level with her one way or the other, and she still upped and left super-quickly anyway.

Aurora randomly wanted to move out after only a few days. I begged her to stay and she did. Now I make sure to talk to her every day so she doesn't feel ignored.
