So I wanted to rant a little bit, and also express my appreciation for the people on ACC. I used ACC way back in the day when it first came to be, and recently created a new account for the release of New Horizons.

I used Discord and Reddit regularly and was happy to see Animal Crossing channels and subs! However, I’ve quickly learned how... shall I say, greedy, people are. I remember being a kid and trading on ACC and making great friendships! And now everything is filled with turnip bots, scammers, and unfriendly people skyrocketing prices because they know someone really wants it. I don’t know, I guess I just miss the spirit of being kind and trading because it was fun to make friends.

That all being said! Thank you to this kind community for keeping this site up over the years. It feels like I’m looking back to my childhood, in the best way possible. And I hope to make friends with many of you as we are living our new lives as islanders.

I tried to do a friendly trade on the "kids" board, but I got back something snarky -- "I already told you want I wanted."

Lol there’s literally no reason for anyone to act like that! Takes the fun and relaxation out of the game.

ACC hasn't been the same ever since new leaf came out. But then again that was about the time I "grew up". Just miss the days of CF and finding tons of friends. Kinda hard to come by that now. Though there's some nice ones still around, usually ones who've been here 10 years or something lol...

What really shocks me is how much people ask for to be able to go to their island on New Horizons. Some of the Facebook groups I'm part of are insane. Asking for hundreds of thousands of bells and Nook Miles tickets just to sell turnips. It's so shocking to me! I only really played Animal Crossing online with New Leaf, but how the community has with New Horizons? So shocking.
