Is anyone else as completely disappointed as I am in the online/co-op play?
I feel like nintendo's new slogan should be "the absolute bare minimum"

Co-Op is so nasty and it feels like it was made only for people with 5 year old little sibling/kids who in reality are just there to watch you play but it "feels like they're helping"

And online play, what on earth was the point of best friends if you can't do anything together ? Like the commercial of the internet-play was hilarious to me, because in the background they're just running i circles with their nets and it's like, yeah, that's all you CAN do.

Idk, it's just that it's 2020, and the online feels the exact same as for new leaf or city folk. .

I guess I'm just disappointed. I understand why some things are the way they are, but maybe there could have been a best-friend-mode? like, if i only invite my bestfriends then i could build and place things and play like normal with them there? i would have loved help building my flower plot with my husband, but i needed fences and i'm not a pre-planning kind of gal.
guess i just hate that i have to plan around nintendo... rather than just play normally...

Yeah, the online gets boring pretty fast. It's annoying how certain parts of the game stop working when you're playing online. You can't place any items, certain NPCs don't work, certain bugs don't spawn, balloons don't spawn, you can't access your storage unless playing in your own town, etc. And to top it all off, there is no longer any way to save when playing online, so one person disconnecting or failing to close a menu could instantly delete all of your progress. Not fun.

New Leaf at least had island tours, which gave you more things to do with friends. I wish they would add something like that.

i'm so glad i'm not the only one then. it feels more of a nuisance to have people in my town than a pleasure. the first time was fun, but like, it takes 2 minutes to show someone the new thing you added to your town, then it's like, ok, leave now thx.
