This feels like a really dumb question but what are good ways to obtain DIY cards? Can you trade DIY cards you already have in your NookPhone? Trying to complete/construct several pieces of furniture but don't have the DIY cards in order to make them.

Talk to villagers while you see them in their house crafting something. They'll pretty much always give you a recipe.
