I have recently joined this site. I added my town on the 'mytown' section with the correct date and time. I also but in the correct name for my character, but none of my city/data is showing up when i try to look at my items ec.

why has this happened?

Have you actually entered any of that information? ACC isn't connected with Nintendo or the games. The catalog, towns, characters, etc. are just ways for you to represent to other Animal Crossing fans what your in-game town is like.
