Hi guys! It's been years since I posted, but another AC game is here so, here I am lol.

So I'm sure everyone has noticed that the save option during multiplayer games is gone, unless someone goes home. This was supposed to be because of the auto save feature. My question is, has anyone had an issue with auto save not working. When people come to my town, it auto saves one time, you can see the dots spin, but then never again. I had someone go home last night after being over an hour, connection error, and that hour of fun and work was completely lost! Anyone encountering similar issues with auto save during multiplayer?

I had a similar experience, losing about an hour of progress due to a connection error, including my first goldfish (fortunately I caught another one later). My best guess is that it's an attempt to prevent the sort of duplication glitches that existed in New Leaf. I guess my best advice would just to be to have someone leave and come back if you accomplish something that you really want to make sure gets saved, although I recognise that that does take quite a while.

This is why I never do anything important with open gates or at someone else's island. It seems a lot of people complain about this.

Yeah, i was just curious if i was missing something as far as auto saving goes, officially it's supposed to be auto saving for us, but after the first or second time it just stops :/
