I have some questions about shooting stars. When do they show up, only on clear nights or after a certain time? Do they show up on Nook Mile Islands? Also, how do you see them, do you have to stand still, look up and wait? Finally, about how often do they appear?

Well I just learned something interesting from a Youtube video. It might not really answers your question but it's some good insight. (Cause I've had some clear nights and haven't seen any yet). But apparently when there's going to be a meteor shower (the nights where you'll see shooting stars), Tom Nook announces it in his daily broadcast. Then, Celeste will show up in your town at some point that same day. That's all I got.

when shooting stars start falling, you'll hear twinkling sounds in the sky, you'll want to put away your tools, look up in the sky and press A as fast as you can. I've found when I've looked up and waited for them, they seem to stop coming, but that might just be bad timing on my part

as for what time they show up, I think if it's dark enough to see stars, it's late enough for shooting stars. I think it gets dark around 7pm? but I'm not sure

I had a meteor shower last night, this morning I got loads of star fragments and a couple of aries fragments scattered around on my beach

One of my villagers said today that there is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight. I guess that can also be a signifier!
