I see a lot of people selling duped royal crowns and selling or trading them for nook miles... Like really?

Just means bells are worthless now.

Nook Miles are going to be the desired trading currency.

IMO at this point it's easy to ignore duping. I try to see the positive in it and concluded that one upside is you can easily tell who is cheating and who is not right now as it's so early on. If it's a deal breaker for you, you can easily remove friends who are participating etc.

I am not bummed out because it was a given that cheating would happen. Perhaps not in the exact same way as with other games, but will happen regardless.

It really sucks. There always has to be someone who ruins it for everyone else, doesn't there? Fortunately, I'm in a small legitimate play group with strict trade policies so I get to play within a mostly closed economy, but it's unfortunate to have to take such drastic measures.

I mostly just play by myself at this point. The few others I've visited are definitely not cheaters, they're at the same point I am or anyone who plays legit for 4 days or so would be.
