I asked for something new since I want to fill up my catalogue, and I got a flooring. Don't remember which. From what I've seen, something expensive rarely seems to actually give you something worth very much, lol.

Oh sorry, I made a mistake. He gave me furniture at first, I picked something expensive and got a chair.
The second time I picked something new and got autographs or something for my wall.

I can't remember what I picked the last time (think it was something new) and got a pink floor. It's nice, I like it

Well, last night I ran into him again.  I asked for something expensive and he gave me a flannel shirt. I actually liked it.

So does anybody know?  Is this it with Wisp?  Nothing more exciting happens?

In other games, seeing Wisp was a real treat cause he barely ever appeared. On this game, you'll hate him.

Does Wisp give you anything unique? Or are they the kind of re-orderable low value items that you can get from villagers/Nooks store? Cause it is certainly seeming like the latter.

^I'm pretty sure he just gives you regular furniture. in the gamecube game his three reward options were weeding the town, painting your roof or giving you something you don't have in your catalogue. in CF it was the same, except instead of painting your roof, he would squash roaches in your house. I think your best bet is to choose something new every time, because then at the very least it'll help you fill out your catalogue
