I’m having trouble waiting. I’ve rung my local eb games, they have my animal crossing switch and game and case all ready for me to pick up with my name on it but ... I can’t get my mits on any of them until the official release day which is Friday (Australia) so Thursday late for folks in the US.  I’ve watched reviews galore on YouTube, subscribed to a couple of animal crossing channels but I’m just itching to play it. Just itching. I’m 53, my teenage daughter is mortified by well, all of me, but I’m so jazzed about this game.  I am so glad I waited to buy a switch so I could  pre order the animal crossing version. Everything out there in normal land is pretty dire at the moment, I can’t wait to kick back and see my island come to life.  But I want to play it now and I can’t.  Arggghhhhhbhhh!!!!!!! I’d love to visit folks and have folks to visit me and hang out and find some new animal crossing buddies, I can’t wait!

Nah, the hype is real. It's been really long since I played AC, too, so it's been really hard for me to wait. xD

I'm getting pretty desperate too! its all I can think or talk about. I have to wait for my sister to give me a lift to EB, so I cant even get it til she gets here! I keep telling myself I'll stop watching content but I keep getting sucked back in and devouring everything I can find.

The only thing that gets me through the wait is knowing I'm about to spend 700+ hours on this over the span of a year or two and that this slow week is dwarfed by the amount of time I'm going to play it

Not just you. My son has been watching me with a bemused look on his face. I think he is waiting for me to crack. He knows how much I love AC, and gaming really isn’t his thing...but watching mom wait for AC is definitely a source of great entertainment.

Late chiming in but when a Family member told me I could pick it up the day before I had my husband rush me to the game store to get it I broke out in the running man and cabbage patch dance &#*Friend Code Detected*; once I had it in my hands! Been waiting so long hate we are on lockdown but glad it came out before we had to get locked in place! Animal Crossing Fan! And A Animal Crossing Community Lover.
