You add their Switch code (SW-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) from the main screen. As long as you both have the game you should be friends in ACNH.

I’m 64, so I don’t play as many different games as I used to. So, not sure if it would be worth it for me. Only 3 on the Switch as of now.  Still have my 2 NL towns, though I probably won’t be playing them as much now that I have New Horizons.

My Gamestop ran my copy out to my car for me...I just called from the parking lot and gave my information.  I had called and asked about it the day before.  But you should have seen the faces of the people that started lining up before the store even opened...lol.
