I'm struggling with this too. I always named my previous towns Derry (after IT - one of my favourite books), but having just finished reading IT again, I feel it's a bit negative and miserable.
A name that popped into my head yesterday is Avocado, because I just love them. Beyond that, I'm out of ideas....maybe something to do with my dog, I dunno. I still have a few more days to decide, so I'm hoping I will find inspiration somewhere.

"^ You're welcome, and cool town name! I was also considering Delfino from Super Mario Sunshine, but I think I'll stick with Outset."
Delfino, that would be a cool island name, loved Mario Sunshine!!
I think I'm going with Lokrum, its a small island off Croatia I visited a few years ago, it was amazing, peacocks, turtles and rabbits and more just roaming around, quite fitting for an AC town name I think.

That sounds lovely! I wish more turtles were in the Animal Crossing series.
Delfino and Lokrum sound good to me. And yes, I think ol’ Tortimer needs some friends. What would really be cute is if he had a great-niece...a little tortoise youngster running around.

That would be so cute! The next generation of the previous special characters.
I named my island Ukiyo. Ukiyo means “floating world” in Japanese, and after walking around looking at the trees and seeing the wind blowing through the trees and the sound of flowing water all around me, it seemed like a magical, floating world!
I actually ended up going with Seabrook, since I have a strong attachment to South Carolina and used to vacation there with my family as a child. We'd always rent out a condo on Seabrook Island, and just those memories alone were so pleasant that I couldn't help but want to name my Island after it~

I named my town Valyria from GoT ! My name in NH is Naerys (a descendant of Daenerys Targaryen) Its all i could think of since i downloaded Duolingo and learned High valyrian.
For every franchise, I've always named my towns Rushmore. It was my favorite movie in my 20s. This time around, I really wanted to name it Stars Hollow, but it was too many characters. So I went with another tv town, Cabot Cove.
