Hello! I'm new to this website and i'm trying to add my switch friend code. Everytime i hit submit it says its in the wrong format. It is supposed to be the friend code shown on our switch profile, right? I've entered it with hyphens, without hyphens, and without hyphens with spaces. I must be doing something wrong, so can you please help me?

Hmm, there shouldn't be any issues. Is the code you're trying to enter 12 numbers?

Hi NyNy. As far as I know, it is not possible to open your gates and let random people in. The closest to what you are describing can be accomplished with a "dodo code." If you go to the airport, it is possible to open your gates, and then allow anyone with the dodo code (which will be some combination of letters and numbers, i.e. AB1234) into your town. Once they are there, you can become friends on the Nintendo switch itself, and in the future you can open the gates to "only friends" and they will be able to access your town without the dodo code.
