this list is fantastic, thank you so much!! I had a couple of words I really liked that matched the kind of aesthetic I wanted for my town (bramble and nettle) but I couldnt find words that matched with them that I loved AND that would fit into a 10 character limit! but now after combining words from your list I have a BUNCH of names to choose from (and no idea what I'll pick, but that's a problem for future me )
a couple of words I've been tossing around that I don't think are on your list: brook (or brooke), grove, glen, bramble, nettle

In addition to being a good source for actual town names, this is a treasure trove of Moon Moon-style permutations that no one in their right mind would want to name their town. Can't wait to move into the beautiful island of Wet Cat.

WAHAHAHAHAHA! Post of the day, right here! Absolutely brilliant.
so I've finally decided to start seriously thinking of a town name, so I put all these words into a site that would automatically make every possible combination, then I put them into another site that would sort them from shortest to longest so I could delete the ones over 10 letters long and I ended up with,,, over 130k potential names. I've been going through the list and saving the ones I like and I'm down to just under 117k, but considering it takes me about a minute to go through a page of names, I should expect to be doing this for at least 36 more hours at least now I finally catch up on podcasts since I rarely have an opportunity to listen to them
some more stand out names I've found since starting: -AppleMusic -RedBull -BlushSlush -JellyGrass
