I do not want the OLED switch and I think it's a terrible idea too, like yeah ethernet is cool for people who need it and a slightly bigger screen is kinda nice for those who need it, but OLED on a console is just such a bad idea, as it tends to burn in the image after a few years, and you do NOT want that on a gaming console. If you own an older Samsung phone, you know what I mean

Skyward Sword HD releases tomorrow! Anyone plan on picking it up? I have it pre-ordered and I plan to pick it up as soon as GameStop opens! I’m also gonna try to get the Zelda and Loftwing Amiibo because I love how it looks!

The Cruel King and the Great Hero has been announced for early 2022. It's in the same style as The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, except rather than a platformer, it's an RPG. NISA is taking pre-orders for the Storybook Edition, which includes a book, digital download soundtrack, and 6" Hero plush for $59.99, but it doesn't qualify for free shipping. Meh, ordered it anyway. This will probably be the only way to get a physical.

supersonic55: I ended up pre-ordering a bundle from Japan. It's a little more expensive than if I bought them here, but a small price to pay to guarantee getting that Amiibo. It really is gorgeous! It's already arrived in the US, but is stuck due to weather in Ohio. (Seriously, hope everyone is all right!)

There was no places that had the Amiibo close to me so I’ll just have to wait until they get more in.

The game is really good though so far! Just finished the skyview temple so far, will have to work some more later tonight.

I played a bit on the Wii, but my memories of the game are not good. Had to give up because I injured my arm (that's not really a bad memory, game's pretty fun with the Wiimote). Not sure how far I got. Remember getting annoyed by how linear a desert area was (although everything felt too linear for my taste), fighting that big thing with the stupid toes, fighting that thing with multiple arms, collecting those shiny things in that realm thing. Whichever is farthest, although it's possible I got farther than I remember.

That said, I am looking forward to seeing how memory matches up, and probably actually beating the game.

It's tough to get amiibos at this point although i did hear that there were delays about zelda & loftwing amiibo for LoZ SS HD so the other amiibos you guys may be looking for may have been affected by this delay too even though i couldn't track down AC sanrio amiibo card pack since the store site took'em down.

it's too bad that you can't use any other LoZ series amiibo for SS HD as supersonic55 told me although it would've been nice just to get stuff for LoZ series amiibo like in BotW (well aside from weapons of course).

Yeah it is a shame that no other Amiibo can be used as stated on the official Skyward Sword website here. Would be nice to at least get some items or materials from them, not even the Skyward Sword Link amiibo works.

well to add what supersonic55 said, it could be the scalpers behind the problem once again. this happened before with the AC sanrio amiibo cards such as re-selling them for higher price, but it could affect the popular amiibos too although due to this pandemic, we barely get any amiibos going around in the store so the shipments on the amiibos are being delayed which is my guess of course.

It could possibly be scalpers but I don’t think it’s 100% the case, it’s half of it but the other half is also the shipment delay. Since there was a delay in the shipment, scalpers try to claim that the Amiibo is “hard to find and rare” and then they try to list it hoping to make a profit. This same thing happened with the New Horizons Sanrio cards as KirbyHamtaro mentioned but the only thing was that I don’t think there was a shipment delay in that, they just quickly sold out all they could.


Pandemic could also be another cause but we’ll just have to wait and see if they arrive in early august, just hope scalpers won’t try to get them and they become unavailable because if that happens, it could be a problem for the people that actually want to use them for the Skyward Sword HD game.

If I knew this was going to be a problem, I would’ve pre-ordered the Amiibo.

In general, production is still down, and there are still delays at the ports. Also scalpers will scalp anything, even emergency appointments for a US Passport.

Here's a weird example of production/ports: Uniqlo originally was going to sell Animal Crossing shirts and bags in June but was delayed to July. They limited people to one of each design and still completely sold out of bags and the most popular sizes of many of their shirts within a couple of hours online.

Also, if it's popular, you're interested, and you're able to pre-order, do it. Peace of mind.

I’m hoping they remake Tomodachi Life on the Switch, it’s a possibility since we got Miitopia on the Switch already. If it ever does get announced, I might pick it up depending on if they add in some new content in the Switch remake.

Only downside would be no Streetpass. Maybe they could add some online functionality.

Aside from a new horse, makeup and wig customization, that was pretty much it for Miitopia on Switch.

Maybe they could have online functionality and I can also see makeup and wig customizations for Tomodachi Life as well. Not sure on what other new features that could possibly be added.

well i'm trying to see what switch games catches my interest and what's good so far. i just haven't found anything good or what's interesting to play in terms of the demo plays available.

with pokemon BD/SP coming up, i don't think i'll get a new game at this point and i may just get it as a digital copy since i don't have ways to get my games at this point since the nearest gamestop i go to was closed down and was relocated to a 1hr or so walk (or on foot) to get there after i picked up my PMD RT DX.

For now as of the closest game that’s releasing that I might possibly pick up is Sonic Colors Ultimate, played the Wii version and would love to play it again on the Switch!

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is definitely on my pickup list. As of next year. Pokémon Legends Arceus and Breath of the Wild 2 are on there.

Just wonder if we’re going to get a Nintendo direct in autumn possibly, we’re bound to get one before the end of the year hopefully.

I never played Sonic Colors. I'm a huge Sonic fan but hate the Boost gameplay (briefly played like 2 levels of Unleashed). But it seems Sega is sticking to that formula so I may as well get used to it. I plan on getting Colors for Switch. Hopefully I'll like it.

I believe you can get other miis in miitopia by a code and your friends so it's not that bad to grab. the other miis are imported from the 3DS version as well so you don't need to worry about that. Some are automatically assigned by popularity as i know about.

Well anyway there are updates coming up for some games. Based on what i know, for those with mario golf super rush, there's a free update that's coming up or as i know about when i checked out the youtube video on it. For those with new pokemon snap, the update is scheduled for next wednesday, possibly tuesday at the earliest time for us in the US (refer to serebii for info and details on the update). these updates may follow UTC or japan time zones.

You can get Miis in Miitopia online as well from people from around the world and people that made Mii’s from the 3DS version.

The update for Mario Golf: Super Rush states that it’s coming soon so sometime in the future we’ll get an update. I know one of the updates includes the New Donk City course from Mario Odyssey.


As for New Pokémon Snap, yeah update is next Wednesday and there’s 3 new courses with both day and night variants along with about 20 new Pokémon I believe. Most likely there could be new areas in the future as well but we’ll just have to wait for new info.

I was unaware that Sonic Colors was going to the switch, that's a must buy for me. Anyway I've made some Miis for Miitopia including CDI Link so if anyone wants my creator code or whatever it's called, I'll post it...if that's even allowed here

actually if you made the miis, you can screenshot the code, upload it to facebook or twitter, and then download the screenshot and put it on your computer files and then upload the screenshot to a image hosting site. The other part is that if you're on our switch friend list, then we can add you and then search the mii by a friend.

anyway speaking of miitopia changes, not only the horse and others that have changed, but there's also horse skill called horse whisperer that's exclusive to the player only although it consumes all of the MP you have and effects of the skill may vary by the player's job and the skill is not usable for the party members.

Yeah you can just add someone’s FC on the Switch and then see all the Mii’s they created or have on Miitopia.

Horse Whisperer is pretty powerful, but it does consume all your MP. Not only does it depend on the job you have, but the personality your Mii has as well has different effects.
