So, like many of you, I have been playing Pocket Camp everyday since it's release.
I was wondering - what keeps you guys coming back? Controversially, on the exterior, this game lacks the basic means for keeping someone hooked due to it's somewhat limited features and mundane tasks. However, that doesn't stop me logging in every single day and still enjoying it now 2 years on.
For me, I love the idea of getting a potential free special cookie everyday. I love the events, even ones like the current 2nd anniversary event I didn't think I would like as I'm not a big fan of regal items, but I love how the royal blue looks in my campsite. I also love the idea of leveling up the animals and getting their exclusive items.
I just like the game. Was so hooked on Animal Crossing City Folks this was a substitute. Not as much fun but will do. I have likes and dislikes but still play everyday.

The game obviously has a lot of issues but there are certain aspects I really enjoy, like being able to simply design my character and not depend on dialogue choices, and change my appearance for free and any time (I really hope they use that in NH!). I think what keeps me logging in is all the new and unique furniture. I always need to see what comes out and if I need it or not lol.
I still play AC:NL most days, but this version is a lot easier and quicker to access. It's very relaxing for me. I also love rearranging my campsite based on the season, holidays, etc. and inviting different animals to hang out. I love dressing my campers and changing my outfits so easily, too. I'm also still holding out hope that they'll finally add Purrl to the game!

I'm not a huge fan, admittedly. I don't enjoy pay to play games and I would be extremely disappointed if they added Leaf Tickets or some other similar feature to New Horizons. I'm not really sure what's kept me playing.
I like not having to carry around my 3DS. I love it, but since I try to travel light, it's nice not to have to carry it around. But, I also miss getting streetpasses and being able to order furniture from people's houses. I'm wondering if New Horizons will have that feature since the Switch is somewhat portable. It's the convenience of being able to play PC on my phone that keeps me coming back. I don't have a Switch, so I won't be playing NH anyway. Whether or not I continue playing AC:PC depends on what happens after the release of NH, I guess.

Personally, PC is my first real interaction with any game involving Animal Crossing. The first time I tried it I thought it was lame and boring, probably about a year ago. Now, I can't see myself not playing it. Animal Crossing in general is a very calm, relaxing experience with overly joyous animal buddies, and since I have nothing else to gauge this experience against, that's why I keep coming back. I have since gotten to level 112, invited almost all the animals (over 170 now) to my camp, and I'm just having a blast periodically checking in on them, talking to everyone. I even got the Happy Helper plan with Fang as my buddy. Convenience is definitely a big thing for this though, otherwise I wouldn't be playing it as much as I do.
What kept me coming back to Pocket Camp was that it felt like an escape to vacation at a campsite. I also liked how there were tasks I had to complete to get a reward and that I was able to design my camper and my campsite. I don't play it anymore because it took too much battery from my phone
