Can you remove an existing bridge the reason I ask is because I added a bridge by mistake and I want to remove it

Sorry, but there's no way to go back and change it. The only donation-related item you can change is the lighthouse/windmill. You can change back and forth between them as much as you want, but you can't re/move the bridge.
