The weirdest part of the Direct to me was that it was all Nook and the Nooklings. Do you think our other favorites will turn up/what will they do this time? For example there’s no way they’d make a game without Isabelle now, but she probably can’t have the same role.
I noticed that the dirt square for the Nook tent is pretty large. I’m thinking they might have more NPCs move to the island as you build it up?
I'm guessing the visiting ones will still act as normal and we just didn't see any because they don't appear that often and today was just a regular day.
I'm sure they'll find a way to get the rest of them included but I'm not sure where. Isabelle is so popular that people would be mad if she was left out. I'm sure they didn't get rid of mail or patterns so we'll still see all of those related NPCs. I'm guessing Copper and Booker will do something with the airport (it wouldn't be flying without the TSA ). Isabelle, Cyrus, Reese, and Tortimer don't seem to have obvious roles though.
Let's go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah!
Sorry, I don't accept random FCRs.
I hope something similar to the island tours from New Leaf returns, just without the accompanying always-August island where previously super rare fish and bugs are way too common, so there could be a place for Tortimer there.

Not totally sure, but I know the male hamster villager from NL (Can't remember his name for the life of me) will be in given promo images, and the houses appear to be NL-styled, at least in the exterior.
Drive me closer! I want to hit them with my sword!
^honestly, same. I know that most modern games these days auto-save, but most of the games I play still don't do that. the games that do, I always feel like I have to exit out to the main menu before I turn it off just to make sure.
but all this reminds me of manual save being a big problem when lets go pikachu and eevee came out. there were lots of people who got a switch as their first nintendo console in over a decade, and they were quitting without saving and lost their first several hours of progress bc they assumed it'd autosave like all the games on the other consoles they were used to
Visit my dream towns!
Angie from Maplerow, Ranae from Wayfield and Olive from Yorkwood
I've read some articles saying resetti and Isabelle WILL be coming back, but with different roles. I guess we just have to keep reminding ourselves that we're building the town from the ground up so we will be bringing in new villagers and shops. I'm really curious to see what role they all play in the new game. I'm hoping we can have some happy home designer powers to decorate the new museum/townhall/shops etc!
If you want online friends when ACNH comes out, message me! :)
Resetti has really been toned down over the years. I remember the first (and only time) I forgot to save my game in AC:GC and then got Resetti's tirade. I was actually afraid that he would delete my game. I didn't take it in a humorous vein as it was intended. Later, I came to find out it was all intended to come across as humorous and to teach people to save their game (or scold them for purposely resetting). My spouse actually did purposely reset one time in AC:GC because one of the animals took the event item he had earned. Yep, back in AC:GC days, the animals would sometimes just take a random item from your inventory when you talked to them.
I may have reset a time or two in Wild World or City Folk, but I did purposely reset in New Leaf in order to get Resetti's brother to show up - yes, I build the Reset Surveillance Center.
While I appreciate an auto-save function, it will presumably mean that we will have no possibility of resetting our game in NH.
