Hey all I'm a big horror film fan and I'd love to hear what your favorite horror flicks are! Seeing as how it's the spooky season... hopefully this thread will introduce us all to some cool new scary movies. I shall list my favs below:

- The Thing (both the 1982 original and the 2011 prequel are pretty great, although definitely not for the faint of heart lol. Me, I love really weird horrific stuff, so I love these)
- The Shining (needs no explanation)
- It (the 1990 TV movie, Tim Curry is perfection)
- The Mist (the 2007 movie)
- The Grudge (this is one of very few movies that truly frightens me, something about the monster is absolutely terrifying to me)
- Sinister (this is another movie that truly creeps me out)
- Child's Play 1 and 2 (first horror films I ever saw and also something about em feels very of-the-era to me, which was the era of my childhood)

Some new favorites of mine are A Quiet Place and The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Let me know what your favorites are!

Jeepers Creepers is one of the only movies that used to scare me. Hellraiser too. I've also always loved the early Friday the 13th movies.

I know that they are *objectively* bad movies in terms of plotline and other factors, and I'll definitely be in the minority for this, but I ADORE the Saw series

Ambnghm, a favourite film doesn't mean it has to be a good film, it's just a film that you particularly enjoy.

I love horror films overall but I am huge fan of slasher films, particularly the Friday the 13th series

i quite like horror in general, but i've seen very few movies because i don't have much time and my parents think it's innapropriate.   

but, yes, the scarier the betterer.

the darker the better too.

probably the darkest or scariest movies i've seen are nightmare before christmas, caroline, and monster house.
