In case anyone missed the recent Nintendo Direct, it has been confirmed that an Animal Crossing game will finally make its debut on Switch next year. For those worried that it might turn out to be another amiibo Festival, you can rest easy as Nintendo confirmed on twitter that it is indeed a mainline game:

Those are all of the details we know right now, so once any additional information is revealed in future we will be sure to make another announcement.
