I have a very specific order and approach to landscaping 1) flatten the town. get rid of anything that you can get rid of. trees, bushes, public works, if you don't love it, get rid of it. except maybe flowers, put those somewhere out of the way so you don't have to grow them again later 2) make sure you have all the villagers you want in places that you like/don't hate 3) lay down your paths, connecting all the buildings. you don't have to have the patterns picked out yet, but knowing where the paths will be helps with everything else. the paths kind of make a framework for you to build around 4) start doing all the creative stuff like gardening and placing public works, making plans based on what space you have left I don't really have any specific areas that I love more than any other area in my towns because I like the whole thing of my three towns though, I'd have to say overall I'm most happy with Wayfield. I think it has the most photogenic areas.
