I love to go dream hopping. It's always nice to wander around towns and just... explore! But, BUT it is not always fun and giggles, no! Why, asked no one?!? I'll tell you! The amount of underdeveloped towns is ridiculous! I usually let Luna pick my dream town for me and I return to the "real world" immediately after spawning in a town because the tree is still tiny!

Could I google nice towns to visit? Yes, yes I could! But it sort of ruins the fun for me. I enjoy the mystery of not knowing where I'm going. There are also times where I am sent somewhere pretty neat and I thank Luna and the DA Gods for sending me into a developed town! It makes those towns that much more special as well.

On a side note, why aren't houses ever decorated? ;; A ;; I adore looking through homes but normally the towns are much nicer in appearance! If I do end up somewhere decent I walk into a home/homes and they're maxed out and empty! Empty I say! I am not bothered by paths/lack of paths because nature but for me decorated homes are the first thing I do! That and personalize my TPC card. Does that bother anyone!? I like when I talk to the residents and they say something, ANYTHING, other than the message that it comes with. It makes the residents come alive!

So... what do you do? What bothers you? Do you have a list? Do you wing it? Do you not even bother? What about DA's don't you like? Are you that person that leaves that generic greeting on your TPC? WHY?!? D:< ........ let me know c:

My towns are based off real life locations. Each one has its own theme (for example my Chukotka town has an Arctic feel to it). Usually I develop the towns quickly since I'll get the idea of what I want before I actually start it, but the number of people who just do a town dream with no development is annoying.

The normal greeting seems very annoying too. In every single town which is not developed you have no reason to hope for good. Even in a few developed towns you'll find this generic "Thanks!" greeting. I barely ever dream of towns but when I do, I make sure I'll go to a town which I've seen somewhere else that was credited for being good. I get ideas from those but these "abandoned" towns do nothing but waste your time and money.

That's so true and heartbreaking! I understand that everyone plays Animal Crossing differently and most people aren't creative or care enough to be, they enjoy the simplicity of the game. My family members who own the game play that way. Simple, no theme, random stuff because it takes too long. (They aren't wrong and none of them play anymore. So, they're part of the problem ;; A ;; )  

This understanding however is sad because the non-developed towns won't ever become something nice. Most people won't play that long to get a lot of items and PWP's. So the towns that were uploaded won't ever be updated to something nicer. It'll forever sit there until Nintendo does another DA sweep. Which, they probably should have a system for that.... maybe do a sweep every few months? That way we can explore towns and even if they are new we know that they are played with frequently.

(I will say I did upload my unappealing abandoned looking town but there's intention to make it something grand! That and I needed MEOW coupons..... )

I heard somewhere that if a dream hasn't been activated in two years, it gets deleted from their rooster of dreams. However I don't think it's two years, I think it's sooner.

I never let Luna pick dreams for me. I have a list of over 100 dreams that I have visited in the past and kept those dream codes because the towns were very nice and worth visiting again. I'm currently workin on gettin my second gold dreamer badge, I'm 40 away from the silver one now.

If you want really great dream towns to visit, you can just ask me. I have a variety of themes and this one REALLY great town that I translated to Yuno (the town name is in Japanese) has AMAZING designs that you can take home. It is by far one of the best dreams I have ever been too and the houses are nicely done as well. I visit this town alot cause it changes seasonally.

i 1000 % agree with what you're saying, i swear every time i visit a random dream i end up with a underdeveloped town, its boring, i just leave asap. i do what Stella_Io does and look for towns on tumblr/youtube.
GCorpCrown- I just visited your dream town for a bit of fun and the whole concept just made me laugh, especially what your mayor said.
OceanSunfish-  that's actually a clever thing to do with your town. My town is just meant to be a little pink kingdom, as i love anything pink and  princessy.

I've done that a few times and have been through really nice towns using tumblr and other sites. So, it does keep me content, the raw excitement though is what I miss xD.

Stella_Io- I hope you're right! If they do get deleted then hopefully, the only towns left should be the more loved towns! Also, if you wanna PT me some towns I would love that! Especially towns with decorated homes! (My favorite!) I'm not really picky with the towns!

Jazzyy- GAH! My town isn't anywhere I would like it to be! There's still PWP's that I'm trying to collect to give my town that odd homey feel! I'm glad that you enjoy the concept though! It's slowly but surely taking baby steps in the right direction!
