Made: Found a HUGE wolf spider when I was spending time with my cat before her bedtime. I caught it in a jar and observed it for a bit (it groomed itself which was something I've never seen a spider do before) and then I released it outside.

Made: The house is freezing cold right now which is great because our air conditioner is still broken.

Made: Got a free set of playing cards from a guy whose blog I follow - his current pet project is a software library that generates playing card images with an incredible number of configurable options. They're pretty stylish and robust, I'm rather impressed.

Ruined: This guy at work wanted the price of sale assorted four pack donuts for 4 Long John donuts. I tried to explain to him that's not how it works but he was too much of a J E R K to listen so I had to manually change the price and I know my manager is gonna rip me a new one tomorrow about it.

Made: Made it home!
Made: Got to cash in my old check of $1200 from Walmart!!
Made: going to treat myself to a game or two to keep me busy

made: first week of senior year has been super great! i got my schedule changed so i'm not gonna be ultra stressed this year like i was last. i took a big ol nap when i got home and got to eat a g o o d sandwich :3

Ruined: I have 0 energy to do anything and I already got a week extension on my assignment but did barely anything all week. Just so tired, emotionally and physically.

Ruined: Ex boyfriend emailing me after 6 months trying to say he still loves me. (Never speaking to him again)
Made: Doing the tree pose in my roller-skates + drinking a lot of caffeine.

Made: Gonna see Christopher Robin tomorrow!

Made: Have over $1000 saved from my summer job! Saving it for the future!

made: I got an email from someone at a place I applied to wanting to ask me about my resume, this could finally be my big break :]

Made: Have an interview tomorrow for a Chipotle opening up literally five minutes up the street. I can bike there in ten~thirteen, and heck, probably walk/jog it in twenty~. Not a fancy anything, but they still pay more than any job I've worked (well, aside from one great one-day gig I have two or three times a year). I've not seen an angry/frustrated employee from our other stores, and they have great benefits. Plus, again, so close to home.

Ruined: NERVES. I just want this to go well. oTL

Made: Had a great jog last night! Got way more in than usual.

Ruined: My legs are reminding me of that jog, and are simultaneously preventing me from cycling to ease the nerves mentioned above.

Made: Dad got me a car.
Made: Signed up for college classes.

Made/Ruined: PS4 came back from repair service! ...but with all my data lost. They didn’t repair the HDMI port, just replaced the whole system. If I didn’t pay for PS+ Cloud Saves I’d honestly be destroyed right now, seen as how any little repair shop around could have just fixed the faulty port. But I figured official support is the safest bet.


Really putting the hope of this day into that interview, now.

ruined: learning not to have high expectations ever bc the dude who emailed me never even called. can feel myself slipping back into a rut and honestly finding a full time job is the crux of all my problems atm. If I could land one in my field it would literally solve so many different things

made: called the guy myself chatted a bit and now I have an interview next Friday so fingers frickin crossed

made: applied to a couple jobs that i think would be really cool/a good experience! if any of them get back to me, it'll be my first job so i'm a liiiittle nervous, but also excited :3

Unfortunately, my interview totally bombed. It was entirely my fault for not fully preparing, plus being extremely tired (though this one wasn't "my" fault so much as nerves keeping me up). Got an email yesterday that there are no openings for me. Of course, that really just means they weren't going to give it to someone who interviewed that poorly. And tbh, I don't blame them one bit.

Marauder, hope yours goes over well. That's pretty lousy of them to leave you hanging.

Ruined/Made: Was feeling extremely down after the interview itself, but I've mostly gotten back out of that mindset.

Made: Replayed Bloodborne yesterday. Beat the whole game in less time than ever before, and can now say I've played through the game with all three starter weapons.

made: finally getting rid of the sofa thats been in my garden since at least may

I met up with some good friends for happy hour tonight, both old and new and they all surprised me for my (early) birthday. I don't normally welcome the attention, especially in public, but it was such a surprise and so unexpected and i enjoyed it for once. Sometimes, it's easy to feel alone and as if I don't have friends, but this was a huge reminder that that's not the case, and that no matter what goes on, there's people there for me. And I love that. Sometimes, it's the little things.

made: I think I found my dream job. Forensic Anthropologist. I started the class today. Basically no blood, and I major in Criminal Justice. Win-win, am I right?

Ruined: since it's the first day of classes, we got let out early. Now i have 30 minutes to sit around and (basically) do nothing because my next class is at 9:30 EST.
