When I go to the city, I see four or five random animals walking around. Sometimes, this includes animals who had moved out of my town (though they don't recognize me). However, I have yet to see either Bunnie or Anchovy in the city despite the fact that I've seen animals who have moved out both before and after they did. It is a possibility that Anchovy and Bunnie moved to my friend's town but I have no way to know. My question about this subject is whether or not animals who moved out of my village and into my friend's town will still show up in the city or not. Granted, this is merely for curiosity's sake as it doesn't help get those two animals back into my town but I would still like to know. Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to who shows up in the city.

I think they still show up in the city when they've moved to a frriend's town. I've only seen a past villager there once or twice, and I knew them because they wore a pattern. However, I'm not sure how they would've moved unless you use an alternate wifi method.

My friend visited my town prior to the Wii/DS wifi shutdown and both Anchovy and Bunnie moved out before that date if I recall correctly.
