I really want to obtain all the items for this safari event, but at the same time, I really don't want to harvest all the hybrids I worked so hard for! Right now, I only have 6 spots where I keep the dahlias.
Do you guys think I should just bite the bullet and plant dahlias in all the spaces, or do you think I can obtain all the items over the next 6 days if I just stick to the system I have going now. I can't decide! What strategies are you guys using?

I'm using all 20 spaces, and I'm still not sure if I'll be able to complete everything to be honest. I started off not using them all, but then realized that if I wanted to fully take advantage of it, I'd be better off just biting the bullet and using all the space. I got seeds from a handful of them before I harvested them, and the others, I'll have fun trying to cross pollinate at the end of the event again.
i've seen a handful of people leave a few hybrids and use 15 spots for dahlia's; I see a lot of the blue-red/blue-yellow pansies and blue tulips, among others, but this way, they can still grow a decent number of dahlia's, keep some hybrids, and then also have flowers always there for people to put butterflies on as well, so maybe this would work for you.. That way, you don't have to totally start over.
But I personally just bit the bullet and planted everywhere, because why not. Hesitant at first, but well worth it honestly.
How could I have ever been so blind?
I was waiting for an indication; It was hard to find.
I went ahead and used all the spots for dahlias and finished all the Rover items in plenty of time.
For red dahlia seeds try to make sure you are doing animal requests as often as you can as these have a chance to reward the red seeds. Also hand out all your butterflies to multiple friends as each time you do this you get red seeds. (up to a point, i think a certain number an hour maybe?)
By doing those two thing i have ended up with a ton of extra red dahlia seeds

Anything I did not have a spare seed for in my inventory I kept in my garden. I have a coral pansy, yellow/blue pansy, purple tulips in the garden but the rest are white dahlias for the event. I made sure I had at least one seed of all the other color flowers before harvesting them to make room for the event flowers.
