Hanukkah has started but the Dreidel Boy avatar is not showing up for me yet. Is anyone else having this glitch occur?

The festive avatars usually go up on December 20th in previous years. I know that's after Hanukkah starts, and I apologize for that.

"Dreidel Boy" is the name of an avatar featuring an AC Boy and a Dreidel. It's not a character from the games.

Gavin is correct, but I'd like to bring attention to this thread which might make you happy.

OK, please change the date then. You could also separate the Jewish avatars from the Gentile ones if you don't want those to last for a long time

As Dilpyckle posted, there was another suggestion in the past to make the avatars go live earlier, but, as you can tell by the thread icon, the suggestion was neither approved nor denied. However, at the moment, it's not a "glitch" that it isn't out yet. It has always been set to the 20th in previous years. If the developers change it so the avatars are put up earlier, we'll let you know.

OK, well Hanukkah ends on the 20th so it would be nice to have a Hanukkah avatar during my holiday

Michael, you're completely right but at this time there isn't anything that can be done (unless the suggestion is approved and the feature is developed within the next few days but I doubt that will happen). Hopefully the suggestion will be approved and implemented by next year. BTW Happy Hannukah!

December 1 to January 7 may be a better timeframe for the holiday avatars, since Hanukkah is gonna start even earlier next year on December 2 and people tend to start getting into the holiday spirit around the start of Advent (Dec. 2 next year and Dec. 1 in 2019). It's kinda late this year to implement this year but I think it'd be a good idea for next year and beyond.

OK I know ACC's code is clunky but is a whole year really needed to change a date? I really would like to know what has to go into this that makes it such a major change to make

Dreidel Boy was available during Hanukkah last year.

Neat how the Kwanzaa avatars stopped being available when the first day of Kwanzaa began

It looks like this feature is broken again.

Actually, it was even more broken this time as I'd forgotten that the festive avatar dates have to be adjusted each year. All festive avatars should have been available starting November 28th and been up until January 6th. I've fixed it and extended the end date to January 31st to make up for the lapse.
