For those who have more than one copy of Animal Crossing how does street pass work?
I tried looking it up but maybe I wasn’t wording it correctly...

Do both copies receive the streetpass homes?
Or is it only the first copy that you owned?

I own two physical copies and one 3DS if that matters at all.

whatever one you turned streetpass on most recently will be the one that gets streetpasses. if in town A you activate streetpass, then you load up town B and turn on streetpass, streetpass will be automatically turned off in town A.

I have streetpass on my cartridge and digital copy. The town that you opened first with the player that has their house on display gets the tag. Open the digital copy 1st they get. Open the cartridge 1st and they get

I've opened my digital copy instead of my cartridge and the digital town took the streetpass. Lost some streetpasses early on so I now make sure to open my cartridge with the player that has their house displayed in the showcase 1st. The main town copy finally got her badges after that.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who buys two cartridges! I would get weird looks when I mentioned a second cartridge. I can't help it! I love my towns! (Although, I'm currently only using my main town: Memory.)

I have 13 towns on 13 different cartridges and I use three different 3DS's to play them on. So at least three at a time can have the streetpasses on mine.
